The backdrop of the patio is lush green trees and palm trees. Our townhouse is located in the quiet and immaculately maintained Mariners Club Resort community. You will have the best of all worlds with water on all sides, just outside your backdoor is the Florida Bay, the Gulf of Mexico (home to Everglades National Park & Flamingo), as well at the Atlantic Ocean. The fishing is world class! If you are a diver or snorkeler, John Pennekamp Camp is just a short boat ride away, see the Christ of the Abyss statue & world class reef. Once here, you can truly unwind & explore all the Florida Keys has to offer. The Mariners Club Resort offers tennis and basketball courts, grills throughout the property, game room for the kids, jacuzzi, state-of-the-art fitness center, two large beautiful pools (one pool is oceanfront lagoon-styled pool surrounded by coconut palms, bougainvillea and mangrove trees and powder white sands and the second pool is heated and offers a more secluded atmosphere with dramatic views of the ocean.)Our apartment is located within a short minute walk to pools, fitness center, clubhouse, marina, long fishing pier, and sandy beach area. In the early 1900’s, the Florida Keys were only accessible by boat. This changed with the completion of the Henry Flagler Overseas Railway in 1912. In 1935, a hurricane destroyed Flagler’s Overseas Railway, and a decision was made to convert the railway into an automobile roadway. U.S. Highway 1, also known as the Overseas Highway, runs from Miami to Key West.One of our most famous residents, Ernest Hemingway, chose to call the Florida Keys home. The sanctuary also protects pieces of our nation’s history such as shipwrecks and other archeological treasures. Visitors to the sanctuary are encouraged to take advantage of the many recreational activities this amazing ecosystem has to offer, including world-class diving, swimming, snorkeling, and fishing.The Mariner's Club is a unique, resort style property that allows its owners to rent their units to guests and extend their club benefits. Of coarse we are biased but we think our oceanfront condo has the best location in the entire community. We are on the first floor, which means you can walk right out the backdoor to one of the best pools in all of the keys. We are the closest unit in the entire community to the ocean. When you're in the living room it feels like you are standing in the ocean. The marina and community center are right out our front door as well as a second pool, grotto and game room. We recently updated the property with a new 86" LG smart TV in the living room, 55" TV's in the bedrooms, a 42" TV with playstation 4 in the kids room, a Bose indoor / outdoor stereo system and a life size wall scrabble board game.The condo is perfect for 2 families with kids. Both master bedrooms have private on suites. The kids room, is actually a hidden behind a book case and has a Harry Potter theme. There is a double and two twins in the kids room. Be sure to surprise your kids with the hidden door and see if they can find it upon arrival. The sleeper sofa in the living room can also accommodate two more adults or kids.The Club is perfectly located on the oceanside of the island close to the reefs which provide world renowned snorkeling, diving, and fishing. Just past our 200’ pier, you will find Molasses Reef, recently rated “The most popular dive reef in North America”. Of coarse we are biased but we think our oceanfront condo has the best location in the entire community. We are on the first floor, which means you can walk right out the backdoor to one of the best pools in all of the keys. We are the closest unit in the entire community to the ocean. When you're in the living room it feels like you are standing in the ocean. The marina and community center are right out our front door as well as a second pool, grotto and game room. The Club is perfectly located on the oceanside of the island close to the reefs which provide world renowned snorkeling, diving, and fishing. Just past our 200’ pier, you will find Molasses Reef, recently rated “The most popular dive reef in North America”.
