Grand Hotel Park

Noisy and a stop over for coaches. No charm about the place got stuck in what they called the villa it’s actually an annex and looks cheap and nasty. Beware drinks are expensive. Breakfast was ok lots of choice . Outskirts of Dubrovnik so nearby cafes were all expensive and not much choice

Room is nice, very clean and good size. Good location as it os 10 min by bus to Old town. There are plenty of shops and restaurants near by. It is definitely not a four star hotel. Maybe 3.5 stars. The breakfast restaurant is huge and comfy and the breakfast first looked ok but could be much better in the quality and freshness of the food. The light next to my bed was not working.

Location of the hotel is nice. Close to restaurants and beach. Very nice view from the balcony to the sea. Double bed was twin beds pushed together. It was decent for our stay, although outdoor pools were not in use as it was off season. Only thing to complain, as if you are willing to sleep longer than 8 a.m on morning, cleaning staff was very noisy. Vacuuming doors open and slamming cabinet doors. Rooms are really not soundproof.

Arrive a the the hotel, late in evening. All shops and restaurants close at 9 in of peak season. Hotel couldn’t provide a snack or sandwich. Hotel and staff were very friendly and professional. Disappointing was the hotel pool was not in operation or deck chairs were not setup or in operation, as I was advise it is currently of peak season, which was quite disappointing. As I have booked this mini break for my husband and myself. My husband has reduced Mobility due to complex health issues. The plan was for him to relax by pool for his mini. The hotel was lovely and the location I would highly recommended but just check with hotel all facilities are open and setup before you book. Also would like to share there is a tourist tax applied on checkout from hotel. I wasn’t made aware of this until we booked into hotel.

Stay at hotel was nice in relation to room , views and food. Reception desk was very nice and hospitable. We had one negative experience that tainted the whole stay for us. Our room was breakfast not included , we were told at reception that we can still avail of breakfast and pay separately at check out. First day we did this there was no problem. Second day at breakfast at one point a female restaurant worker openly pointed at our table and indicated at the manager to come down. Naturally, we were very confused and as the manager came to the table many people started looking over at us. The manager spoke to us as if he was catching us doing something wrong. He asked us if we were staying at the hotel and if we were what was our room number. It became clear at that point that the staff had assumed that we weren’t guests at the hotel. We confirmed our hotel number. The manager then went back to the cashier and made a point of coming back down and printing out a receipt for us to sign. I explained calmly to the manager that we were told to pay at the end of our stay and I did not understand why we were made feel as though we were doing something wrong. We were upset by this incident for a number of reasons. Firstly, why was no one else asked if they were actually guests at the hotel ? The room was full with people but we were singled out ? Secondly, when it was confirmed that we were guests there was no apology from the restaurant staff worker or the restaurant manager. The whole experience was extremely humiliating and upsetting. We left the restaurant before we had finished eating breakfast as we felt people watching us. We had planned to spend the day in the hotels spa and gym but decided to not spend anymore time then needed at the hotel as we were made feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed that we had done something wrong when we were paying guests. I don’t know what prejudice or judgement the hotel restaurant staff possess that made them think that we weren’t residents of the hotel and that we weren’t going to pay , but it is not okay to treat people let alone paying customers in this fashion. Would not recommend staying at the hotel for the trea**ent of restaurant staff that we received alone.

We stayed here for 3 x nights following a Marella cruise. We were concerned before we arrived as I read in the reviews on this site that building work was being carried out. I contacted the hotel at the end of June to query the building work, and they said it would be completed 'any day now'. Then, 8 days before arrival, Tui contacted us to confirm building work but could not offer an alternative. We contacted the hotel and they said the work would be completed on the 24 of July, we were due to arrive on the 27th. We arrived at the hotel and I unfortunately had booked to stay in the Villa's, which was the same price as the hotel. The Villa had building materials outside and our view from the balcony was of discarded doors, building materials, and a crane! Apparently, the building work had started in 2019 and by the rate of their progress will probably be finished in 2029. The building work Tui actually notified us about was the pool bar. There were people 'working' there during our stay and I'm guessing they get paid by the hour. Work will probably finish by September! I found the hotel staff rude and surly, the 3 staff who worked on bar/ice creams etc barely looked up from their phones long enough to tell you where to put your dirty towels. It's a shame as there are glimpses of what the hotel could be. The pool is lovely and there were always plenty of sunloungers, but it's as if they've given up. The hotel is in a good location for the small pebbly beach, restaurants and bars.

We booked this for 10 days as pur holiday through ***********. Good cost flights good klm and jet two. We booked private transfers so was about 30 mins to hotel. Hotel was clean efficient and a base for us. Rooms with sea view 5th floor v nice but no shade in the afterwards, be warned. There was a lack of storage in the room and the mirror for make up was not central as fridge underneath got in the way. Double bed was two pushed together ☹️ We had buffet breccy each day and it was great hubby not keen on the coffee though. The hotel is close to beach, bars, restaurants and bus stop to old town. We feel there was a lack of a**osphere in the hotel at night the bar was pricey compared to the nearest bar outside. Lunches by the pool were good and the staff here were lovely too, Roko and Claudia smiling and singing. Pool boys were lazy not even handing towels to you. They are improving pool bar work is on going there is some noise but nothing horrendous (only worry was health and safety or lack of it). Will be nice once finished hopefully workers get first drinks.

Nicely located hotel near the promenade. Rooms basic but comfortable , pillows good ! Nice walk in shower, tea and coffee making facilities in the room with fridge Pool area nice and clean lots of beds and umbrellas Spa nice , had a scrub / massage trea**ent . Nice , typical hotel prices Breakfast fab .. great selection of cold and hot foods . Fruits , fresh juices and even a little treat of some pink moscato ! The hotel has a bar but omg the prices .. extortionate prices ! Same at the pool side restaurant .. expensive for lunch Nearby supermarket so handy Indoor and outdoor pools , gym Nice hotel .. would return but they need to re look at their prices for food and alcohol

4 nights spent here as final.leg of holiday to Croatia. It is a very big hotel with comfortable rooms ( we requested sea view) and good swimming pool options with both outdoor and indoor pools. There is a spa also with a good variety of trea**ents and sauna and steam room. Hotel.is located in Lapad area of Dubrovnik. Number 6 bus stop is about 2 minutes walk away and is very convenient for trips to old town. There is also a beautiful.promenade nearby which is great as an option for sea swimming and to escape the crowds. Excellent breakfast options at buffet with hot and cold food. Would stay here again.
