We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable beds, great food and super friendly owner and personal. It feels like home.

This is a sweet guest house located behind a tea shop. The sweet owner really makes the experience — going out of her way to make sure her guests are well cared for from food to tea to transportation. She helped us arrange taxis to and from neighboring cities and to the local sites. The Chinese breakfast was very good, local food. And it included hand ground coffee and a visit from the guest house cat.

A very nice little hotel. The owner speaks English. Chinese breakfast is included, you can also order food and buy drinks. There is a very nice apartment on each of the two upper floors, the owner is very accommodating and helps with all matters. I can recommend it.

I wanted to recommend this place, but really can’t. The rooms are quaint (if slightly less than spotless), and the location not bad (an easy 20 minute walk down a gentle hill to the city center). Some of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The simple breakfast provided was tasty (we seemed to be the only people staying at the hotel throughout our stay so it was made just for us). However the behavior of the man serving breakfast was terrible. One the first morning he was simply stand-offish and unwelcoming. We felt like an inconvenience by turning up for breakfast. However on the second day he sat directly across the empty breakfast room, smoking while staring directly at me and interrogating my Chinese companion about me throughout the meal. It became very personal, making both my friend and I feel very uncomfortable indeed. I’ve lived in China for a number of years and am used to the curiosity regarding foreigners but this was on a completely different level, almost hostile. I’d suggest that foreigners at least find somewhere more welcoming to stay.

We booked for the whole family and it was a great experience ! Rooms are very spacious , clean and well decorated ! The family is super friendly and help us a lot … 15min only by car from kung fu Shaolin temple ! Breakfast is ok .

We are a couple from Sweden that has been backpacking around the world for two years and we usually travel a lot. The stay was very nice! Very comfy bed with great duna and linen. The shower was awesome! And the room is beautiful. The breakfast room/reception is nice to relax at and there is also a living room when you enter the building were you can relax as well. Try to get a room on a higher floor and you get some mountain views. The owners are lovely and the husband is a somilier and gave us a glass of wine for free when we ordered dinner. You really need to try their food! It was really nice and so was the breakfast. We had dinner twice when we were there, try the sizzling beef and mushrooms. The staff is really nice and helpful especially the owners brother that helped us a lot with everything! We will for sure stay here again when we visit Dengfeng. We did some really long hikes around Dengfeng and it is really worth it. Thanks, Kind regards Johannes and Ebba

The place is small yet so warm and aesthetic. When we first stepped in, we are greeted warmly by the owners and were given a bucket of sweet oranges. We choose the double tatami bedroom, the place is clean and comfortable, it also has a sizeable living area with sofa and water dispenser/boiler. The lady owner is so kind, she helped us in planning our trip to shaolin temple, hailed a taxi for us and inform the driver to make sure the driver would send us to the correct place. She really went extra miles. We are truly blessed by our short stay here.

It was a nice stay at the hotel. The owner and staff are hospitable people, they helped to buy tickets for the show and order the taxi. They understand English. The location of the place is good, close to the mountain so you will wake up and hear the bird's tweets and enjoy mountainous view. The rooms were clean, the bathroom had enough toiletries.

Wow. Incredible place. I feel like home. Everybody treat me very well, like a friend. The hotel is clean, nice, everybody very kind and they make the best they can to help you. Food is amazing, room Perfect and very clean, confortáble, i will come back for sure. I will suggest everybody to stay here, it’s amazing

We enjoyed the stay very much! The owner was very helpful and welcoming and we felt right at home. The hotel has a restaurant as well with very delicious food and sweet people working there. The location was peaceful, close to the mountain. All in all, we loved the homely stay and would recommend it to everyone traveling to Dengfeng

This was one of the best Hotel experiences I have ever had! Also, this was one of the best food experiences I have ever had. The accomodation is situated near the mountain landscape and the nights are quiet and peaceful. I have gotten a great rest from the big city here. The hotel runs a restaurant in the first floor, which is quiet famous in the local area (for a good reason it is!). The dishes were amongst the best I have eaten in the country! You will enter the hotel through a tea and wineshop with a wonderful atmosphere.. The couple that runs the hotel is very kind, helpful and joyful. They gifted me tea and fruits for my further traveling and made me feel welcome during my stay. If I am ever back in Dengfeng, I will know where to go! Thank you for the great stay! :)
