We stayed here in 2018 and unfortunately due to Covid could not come back in 2020 as planned. We are now 5 days into our 2nd holiday here and I would say overall it’s actually better than before. We are staying in the premium room with pool view and previously stayed in the block to the right which had 2 rooms and a kitchenette. This room suits us as a family of 4. It’s open plan and has an amazing view of the evening entertainment which we like and also a great view of the sea. I’ve seen lots of reviews mention the sunbeds which surprises me as I’m pretty much the 1st down at 8:45am (to be clear I sit on the sunbed and don’t go down to just out towels down!) every day has been fine for this. What I also find very impressive is there are around 8-10 staff at that time and earlier cleaning the pool, pool area and windows. It really is immaculately clean. Another complaint I read about was how this is not for English people. Again, I massively disagree. The entertainment is predominantly in English even when we have been the minority. I love meeting the other nationalities, I see English people everyday at home and it’s nice to play games with the German/Dutch guys who have all been really friendly. My kids (10 & 7) have loved the entertainment, the animation team have been fantastic and i think his name is JD (lovely lad from Columbia) has been exceptional and takes it up a level. There is always something to do and even when the weather wasn’t great they made a big effort to involve everyone. I love the breakfast, I’ve had fresh omelettes everyday and there is so much choice I didn’t feel the need for evening food here as we like to go out and explore the area anyway. Reception have been fantastic and the cleaners do an amazing job cleaning the rooms every single day. The pool is awesome, last time I came there were 3 and they have since joined 2 up to make a huge pool and separate kids area. There was an ‘accident’ with a little kid soiling the pool and they very quickly cleared the pool and treated it effectively. Personally I liked the arcade they used to have but that’s now used by the animation team and has games consoles in there which reflects the modern age but still was a nice touch previously. Location wise it’s situated slap bang in the middle of Cala Bona and Cala Millor, I like this as we go either way on different evenings, Cala Bona feels more chilled with a lovely quiet beach and nice harbour and Cala Millor is more lively with a recently refurbished shopping area and bigger beach. I can honestly say it’s a great hotel, meticulously ran and having researched MANY other hotels around Cala Bona and Cala Millor I wouldn’t go to any other. Hopefully we can come back next year.
