"The location of the hotel is perfect. The room was good but it would be nice to have a cup where you can put the toothbrush. There were no kettle and cup for tea or coffee. The breakfast was ok but it felt a bit simple. The variety of the breakfast could be improved. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall I enjoyed my stay in this hotel."

TTài khoản kháchWe really enjoyed our stay at Baia Azul. This hotel has everything! Gorgeous views from the lounge area, a lovely bar with entertainment at night, excellent service, lovely comfortable rooms, and a very nice pool area. We cannot fault it! The breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

TTài khoản kháchWe stayed in the hotel with group of friends. The experience was really nice — rooms are clean and design are interesting and cozy. You will have breakfast in the other hotel next door and it’s delicious. Also you can use territory of other hotel — there are really nice lounge zone, pool and sea-view. We enjoyed.
Only one thing was disturbing — if you want to sleep with open windows it can be really noisy. Because of the buses (going from early morning) and loud people (who were singing and screaming drunk). But if you close the window everything is perfect.

RReyho0nThe hotel is in a good location and the sea view room which we reserved had a nice view of ocean. But, I need to mention that this hotel is not a 4 star hotel. The whole building is old and they kept it in an old fashion way. The bath is not good, they don't offer even water in daily service and neither tea. (which is expected from a four star hotel)
The elevator is old and always full, really not suitable for an eleven floor building.

JJRamosUm grande agradecimento a grande equipa do hotel Golden Residence. Desde a garrafa de espumante até aos pequenos gestos como a oferta de rebuçados no check out a nossa estadia foi excelente. A piscina interior e o banho turco são um must além de piscina exterior. Os quartos são grandes, com sala e kitchnete faltando apenas a TV no quarto. Muito boa localização.

FFabijanoThe dining room -I was there for the breakfast- is an old one, not so inviting. The breakfast-selection is not so good, as a vegan or vegetarian you can't choose much (only beans & bread), the coffee is okay but not tasty, the juices are not fresh & sugary.
There is no big pot for cooking, for two persons it would be good to have one.
The bed is good, the fan does its job, the bathroom is big enough, the balcony practical.
The location is near to the busline, 30min to walk to the center & there is the Lido promenade (with some places to swim) to the next small city with a small light tunnel for pedestrians, there you can hear/see the surf :)
The opening times for the pool are too late in the morning and too short (8.00-20.00).
The female staff at the reception with the glasses (saturday evening), didn't manage my wake-up-call for the next morning (the staff at this day showed me that he had no notice for a call), thats not a good one, because sometimes you have to depend on it.

JJuiliaWe spent here 3 nights. Overall nothing to complain. The studio is big. May be it was a little dark but it didn’t bother us a lot. We had everything we needed. Location is good. About 20-25 min by foot to the center if you don’t want to use a car. Parking was a little bit challenge every time but there was no days when we couldn’t leave a car, every time we managed to find a place, sounds good especially when you needn’t to pay for it. The neighbors were quiet, so we slept very well.

TTài khoản kháchWe booked a triple room 3 beds last min with late bird price. However they gave us double room 2 beds. It's on the 1st floor just next to tennis court which is quite noisy. It's 31 degree F, no air conditioner. Only 1 tiny window can be opened for fresh air but its facing a foot path with many guests access to the indoor pool, gym...etc. Not enough privacy.
Location is ok as many small supermarkets, restaurants and bus stops near by within walking distance. Hotel facilities are good for the price.

Only 3 mins walk to bus top where can bring you to City Center €1.95 single one way and airport. €5 single one way, €8 return. Walking to City center is about 20-30mins. Only 10mins walk to Forum Madeira shopping mall. Breakfast is good with many choices of fruit, salad, yogurt, ham, eggs, bread, cereals. Indoor, outdoor pool and gym are nice too. We stay in sea and swimming pool view studio with kitchenette. The balcony is wonderful.
Staffs are polite and patient. Only one con, no air conditioning in 31 degrees. Only have a ceiling fan.
