"Ive choosen this place cause its central, easy to access and 24h check in.
The room been spacious, clean, comfortable beds, complimentary coffee and dates in lounge.
They been helpful to organise a taxi for local prices to the airport.
Very polite and friendly staff.
The breakfast been compared to other hotels in Muscat a bit pale.
But I would still recommend it."

I extended my stay here two more weeks and Mr Nasser offered me a great package price. Everything here was nice and the breakfast buffet was amazing. A big mall could be reached through the underground hotel.
I am lucky to have selected this hotel for my first visit to the wonderful Oman 🇴🇲.

HHanzo HattoriMy recent stay at the Mandarin Oriental Muscat was overall enjoyable, with several notable highlights. The hotel’s location near the beachfront is fantastic, offering stunning views of Muscat and the surrounding mountains. The interiors are beautifully designed, featuring natural materials that create a luxurious and calming atmosphere.
The rooms were ultra-comfortable, with excellent beds and top-quality linens that made for a great night’s sleep. I also appreciated the thoughtful in-room amenities, including good tea, a Nespresso machine, and water in glass bottles—a healthy and eco-friendly touch.
The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner provided were of great quality, and the dental kits were decent. However, I did notice that some toothpaste tubes weren’t fresh, as the paste had become solid and dry in a few sets. Additionally, the shaving kit was of the cheapest level, which didn’t align with the otherwise high standards of the hotel.
Breakfast was good but not quite up to the level typically expected from Mandarin Oriental. There’s definitely room for improvement here, but I believe this is something the hotel will refine over time. The staff were polite and professional, which added to the overall positive experience.
Considering the hotel is still new, I’d rate the overall experience, including the price/value ratio, as 3.5 out of 5. I’m confident that with time, the hotel will address these minor gaps and elevate the experience to match the impeccable standards the brand is known for.

TTài khoản kháchThis hotel is strategically located close to the Avenues Mall. Attached to this mall (and closest entrance to the hotel) is Lulu Hypermarket -an amazing supermarket with local and international brands, and a fantastic bakery. This mall is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. However, you do have walk along the road as the sidewalk / footpath does not exist. But this is only for 300 metres. In fact you can get off the street, but it is gravel/ construction site, so you shoes will be messy. Uber and Grab do not exist in Oman. However, the hotel has two or three taxi drivers that will you take you anywhere. They use set rates, rather than a meter. For example Hotel to Airport run is 8 is Omani Rial (US $20). While this hotel is great for shopping, it is not the best for major attractions of Muscat. The main historical sites of Alam Palace, Ai Mirania Fort and National Museum is 21 kms from the hotel. About 10 Omani Rial is each way by taxi. However, there are very few hotels in this area, so most people stay in hotels near Malls in Oman. This is some form of Public Transport in Muscat, but it can be hard for tourists to use without changing to another bus or long walks. For example, the Royal Opera House is 10 kms from hotel. By using public transport this would require a 2.5 kms walk. The hotel rooms are quite spacious and feature comfortable lounge style chairs. The hotel is located near an expressway /motorway, but good soundproofing means this is not an issue. I was of level 3 and could just see the ocean in the distance (right) and the mall (to left). They do have ocean view room (more expensive higher up the building). The TV is very disappointing - small & old with fuzzy channels. Fortunately, the internet is great, so viewing most programs on the computer. The rooftop has great swimming pool and bar, but maybe a little too cold to swim with highs of about 22-23 C in winter. Staff at receptionist are very obliging. I can definitely recommend this hotel for shopping and good base to experience Muscat. However, as mentioned, it is long way from the major tourists attraction of the city and taxi is required.

Поскольку август низкий сезон, гостей в отеле немного и вы можете плавать в бассейне в одиночестве, как будто это ваш личный бассейн! На самом деле, бассейна целых 3. Так что можно выбрать подходящий по своему вкусу. Возможно, плавание в Оманском заливе не произвело на меня особого впечатления. Скажем так, бывает море и получше. Но, с другой стороны, желающих плавать в море всегда такой небольшой процент отдыхающих, что большинству достаточно просто зайти, попрыгать в волнах и выйти. С точки зрения наслаждения от пребывания на пляже, здесь опыт 100% положительный. Сервис на пляже превосходный! Постоянно приносят воду со льдом с добавлением лимона и мяты, предлагают освежающие салфетки, угощают фруктами. Отель выполнен в традиционном арабском стиле и полностью соответствует представлениям о роскошном отдыхе. Тёмная палитра в интерьерах подчёркивает архитектуру и придаёт ощущение изысканности. Для гостей, которые бронируют виллы, предлагается банная линия Amouage. В номерах попроще - Асqua di Parma, что тоже неплохо! Что касается еды, то как по мне, - она обыкновенная, без затей. Я получила несомненное эстетическое удовольствие от пребывания в этом прекрасном месте, но никаких гастрономических впечатлений отель на меня не произвёл. При этом к сервису нареканий нет никаких. Все с кем я имела дело - сотрудники ресепшен, служащие на пляже, официанты исключительно приветливы и отзывчивы!

TTài khoản kháchHow can I put it… I initially came to this hotel for 4 nights, and then I had planned to stay at other hotels. However, I had to cancel twice on site, at hotels that were supposedly higher rated and with more stars, because the value for money was not worth it. So I returned to the Platinium Hotel, where I ultimately stayed for two weeks, and which is really very well located. The hotel is on a street overlooking Souq Al Khuwair and Maha Street, where many restaurants can be found. The beach is a 15-minute walk, the Grand Mall and Avenue Mall are 25 minutes on foot, and the Grand Mosque is 45 minutes away by walking. We did everything on foot. Additionally, Muttrah Souq and Qurum are only 15 minutes away by taxi. Thanks to this ideal location, we ultimately didn’t rent a car. But the main reason we came back to this hotel is that we couldn’t find that same family-like, warm welcome anywhere else. The staff is incredibly attentive.
Even though the breakfast isn’t very varied, we really appreciated the service. In particular, the breakfast staff: Rajkumar and Schola, who impressed us greatly with their professionalism and attention to detail, as well as others whose names I unfortunately didn’t catch. They were exceptional, attentive, and always smiling. I will definitely come back here and recommend this hotel to my friends and colleagues.

IIsmail_ahamedMy overall experience at Muscat Plaza Hotel was somewhat good. Unfortunately, they lacked many things. For example, the room wasn't fully prepared, and I had to ask for toothpaste, slippers, and a toothbrush.
Additionally, the gym lacked many tools. They only had a treadmill, which is not what I consider a gym. It also closed too early at 9:00 PM.
I was only satisfied with the reception assistance and support
