TTài khoản kháchDisappointing week in a disappointing hotel. From the moment we landed in Oman, the intercontinental hotel was not helpful. When we asked for a taxi, they wouldn’t help us and we had to arrange ourselves. When we asked if we had a sea view, we were told “we had a partial sea view” which was actually a car park and a loud generator which rattled on all through the night. The generator was so loud we had to keep the balcony doors closed all the time. However, one night, even with the doors closed we were kept awake until 3am with loud bangs and clatters from hotel staff loading up vans with furniture after an event at the hotel. When we asked about booking the onsite restaurants, we were told they were all closed apart from the main one. Multiple times when we went to the main restaurant we were told it was too busy and we had to wait and come back later. When we did get into the restaurant, we often had to wait long times for food to be replaced or we given paper cups because they’d run out of glasses! When we tried to get the WiFi at the pool, there was none. When we tried to use the creams in the room, they’d run out. The staff were lovely and the food was nice but altogether, we didn’t feel looked after and definitely don’t feel this is a 5* hotel.
AAnya26I don't think our floors were cleaned even once during our 5-day stay at the hotel. The bedsheets haven't been changed too. The housekeeping staff had been reusing the same towel for the bathroom floor for the whole five days, and by the end of our trip it was looking really dirty.
The other big issue is noise. Our room was on the third floor and the windows were facing the cafe down below, where they kept blasting music until up to 2am.
The dinner buffet, for some reason, only had plain water as a drink option. I don't think that providing at least some soft drinks or juices is that expensive for a four-star hotel that is a part of the Marriott hotel chain, especially for the price of 11 OMR per person.
On the positive note, the hotel personnel were exceptionally nice and helpful, and they completed all of our requests in a timely manner. We also found the interior design to be quite pleasant. The blackout curtains in the room did an excellent job at blocking out the bright sun in the morning. The pool is really good as well.
MMaha AlshihaMy stay at the kempinski hotel in muscat was not as good as expected from a five star international hotel.. My friends and I encountered unfavorable treatment from some of the staff and other mishaps at the hotel, however it wasn’t all bad as I did find the room comfortable and in general the interior of the hotel was nice and minimalistic with a touch of modern class. The breakfast was good. We enjoyed kayaking at beach and most importantly I like how the manager compensated us after all the trouble we had during our stay ..
HHanzo HattoriMy recent stay at the Mandarin Oriental Muscat was overall enjoyable, with several notable highlights. The hotel’s location near the beachfront is fantastic, offering stunning views of Muscat and the surrounding mountains. The interiors are beautifully designed, featuring natural materials that create a luxurious and calming atmosphere.
The rooms were ultra-comfortable, with excellent beds and top-quality linens that made for a great night’s sleep. I also appreciated the thoughtful in-room amenities, including good tea, a Nespresso machine, and water in glass bottles—a healthy and eco-friendly touch.
The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner provided were of great quality, and the dental kits were decent. However, I did notice that some toothpaste tubes weren’t fresh, as the paste had become solid and dry in a few sets. Additionally, the shaving kit was of the cheapest level, which didn’t align with the otherwise high standards of the hotel.
Breakfast was good but not quite up to the level typically expected from Mandarin Oriental. There’s definitely room for improvement here, but I believe this is something the hotel will refine over time. The staff were polite and professional, which added to the overall positive experience.
Considering the hotel is still new, I’d rate the overall experience, including the price/value ratio, as 3.5 out of 5. I’m confident that with time, the hotel will address these minor gaps and elevate the experience to match the impeccable standards the brand is known for.
TTài khoản kháchHotel location was great in the middle of everywhere. Furniture was well maintained beds were comfy. Swimming pool was small but my kids enjoyed it. The only disadvantage was staff. We only sow the lady for check in honestly she was polite but no welcoming no one to help with baggage no one in the reception most of the time. House keeping was horrible they don’t change linens even it was dirty and torn. I had to call them to change it. The carpet was wet and they didn’t do anything even they don’t clean tables. Price was reasonable for the location only and having connected rooms was great for my children.

Поскольку август низкий сезон, гостей в отеле немного и вы можете плавать в бассейне в одиночестве, как будто это ваш личный бассейн! На самом деле, бассейна целых 3. Так что можно выбрать подходящий по своему вкусу. Возможно, плавание в Оманском заливе не произвело на меня особого впечатления. Скажем так, бывает море и получше. Но, с другой стороны, желающих плавать в море всегда такой небольшой процент отдыхающих, что большинству достаточно просто зайти, попрыгать в волнах и выйти. С точки зрения наслаждения от пребывания на пляже, здесь опыт 100% положительный. Сервис на пляже превосходный! Постоянно приносят воду со льдом с добавлением лимона и мяты, предлагают освежающие салфетки, угощают фруктами. Отель выполнен в традиционном арабском стиле и полностью соответствует представлениям о роскошном отдыхе. Тёмная палитра в интерьерах подчёркивает архитектуру и придаёт ощущение изысканности. Для гостей, которые бронируют виллы, предлагается банная линия Amouage. В номерах попроще - Асqua di Parma, что тоже неплохо! Что касается еды, то как по мне, - она обыкновенная, без затей. Я получила несомненное эстетическое удовольствие от пребывания в этом прекрасном месте, но никаких гастрономических впечатлений отель на меня не произвёл. При этом к сервису нареканий нет никаких. Все с кем я имела дело - сотрудники ресепшен, служащие на пляже, официанты исключительно приветливы и отзывчивы!
