The receptionist in the evening was very cheerful and jolly for a good conversation to hear about local news."

HHarmonickFor a truly memorable stay in Zermatt, look no further than the Traditional Julen Hotel. We travelled throughout Switzerland, and the view from our Matterhorn room was hands down the best we experienced. Waking up to that iconic peak every morning was simply breathtaking.
The service at the Julen is impeccable. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every need we had, making us feel truly welcome. Speaking of needs, be sure to grab a bite at their downstairs restaurant. The food is excellent, though the space is a little on the cozy (some might say claustrophobic) side. Don't let that deter you, though - the culinary experience is well worth it.
Overall, the Traditional Julen Hotel is a fantastic choice. Splurge on the Matterhorn room for an unforgettable view, and rest assured knowing you'll be taken care of by a truly exceptional team. Highly recommended!

Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable.
Very near the zermatt train station, just opposite of Macdonald’s.
Breakfast had a good selection.
Housekeeping would check in on you and offer free chocolates.
The only feedback I have is the room didn’t provide English instructions on how to dial the concierge so I had to walk down to request for items.

TTài khoản kháchThe hotel was in 5 minutes walking from Zermatt train station and it offered free shuttle for check in and out as there was a steep path to the hotel entrance, not good to walk with luggages. I booked 2 bedrooms family suite but only with one bathroom which was the downside. However, the total space of 60 meter sq with a decent living room and a small balcony facing Matterhorn were a plus to the overall stay. There were some minor defects and the staff fixed efficiently. They had an indoor pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna room. I had to mention that the jacuzzi was of high standard and you must go after a day of hiking. So bring your swimming suit. However, please note that in there culture, no clothes are allowed to enter the sauna room and it is in mixed genders. The breakfast buffet was lack of choices. But I had to specially name Mr Fernando, he always welcome us with very good coffee and of course his warm greetings in the morning.
Suggestion to the hotel:
1. Stated clearly the number of bathroom/ toilet in the booking details regarding my booking is a 2 bedrooms suite.
2. More choices for breakfast, my family stays 4 nights there. Everyday, the menu is same.
3. The pool was closed at 8pm, will be better if it closes at 9pm as it was rather rush for the guests to use after dinner.
Overall, I recommend this hotel to family. I will come back again.

TTài khoản kháchI wish to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Hotel Bistrols from Dec 16 to Dec 17.
During my stay, I experienced an incident that left me quite unsettled. Around 20 mins after my check-in to the hotel, another group of tourists (think was a couple) was able to use hotel access card to access my room, we, both parties are shocked and super embarrassed. This situation raised significant concerns about the security protocols in place at the hotel. As a guest, I expect a certain level of safety. If the room was accidentally opened without my presence, I am not sure whether my belongings are going to disappear, this situation made me had just a light sleep throughout the whole stay.
The lack of adequate security measures not only compromised my sense of safety but also made me question the overall management of the hotel. In an age where guest security is paramount, I believe that Hotel Bistrols should prioritize ensuring that all rooms are properly secured and that guests feel safe throughout their stay.
A point to add is that the receptionist has poor attitude towards her service. The whole experience which I would not consider to give this hotel another try in future.
I hope that the hotel will take my concerns seriously and address these issues for future guests.

TTài khoản kháchKristiane checked us in, and out of the hotel. She's the most attentive person so far that I've met, among the hotels that I have stayed in. Not only that, she got our issues fixed within the day, with a good sense of humour. The hotel breakfast was above average, some selection of cheeses, ham, salami, yoghurt, and drinks dispensed from the machine. I chose this hotel as it was close to Zermatt Bahnhof, and I did not regret it. A relatively new hotel, with a faint smell of wood in the room. The heating in the room can be a wee bit stronger, it means the insulation is good while we tuned down the central heating throughout our stay when the external temp is subzero. It's a gorgeous hotel, I have a narrow window view of the Matterhorn. Not to mention that the hotel is right next to McDonald's and two coffee shops. Overall, it was a splendid experience for us staying at Derby. If you were guessing, this isn't a sponsored review. We were just very happy travellers.

Nestled high above Zermatt, the Riffelhaus 1853 is accessible via the Gornergrat railway, making the journey itself an adventure. Once you arrive, you’re greeted by panoramic mountain views in every direction, with the iconic Matterhorn standing proudly in front of you. The setting is perfect for ski-in/ski-out access in winter and stunning hiking trails in summer.
Rooms – 9/10
The rooms are cozy, modern, and well-equipped while still maintaining a classic Swiss alpine charm. Many rooms come with Matterhorn views, and waking up to this scenery is an experience in itself. The beds are comfortable, and the rustic wooden decor gives a warm, welcoming feel. Some rooms have balconies, which I highly recommend booking for the full experience.
Service – 9/10
The staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. Despite the hotel’s remote location, the service is top-notch, with staff going out of their way to accommodate special requests. From seamless check-in to helpful local recommendations, they make the stay even more special.
Dining – 8.5/10
The on-site restaurant serves delicious Swiss cuisine, including traditional dishes like fondue and rösti. The breakfast is generous, featuring fresh bread, cheeses, meats, and eggs cooked to order. The only downside is that, due to the remote location, dining options are limited to the hotel restaurant, but the quality makes up for it.
Wellness & Spa – 10/10
The outdoor hot tub with a view of the Matterhorn is an absolute highlight! There’s also a sauna and steam bath, perfect after a day of skiing or hiking. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by snow-capped peaks is an experience worth every penny.
Activities – 10/10
Winter: Perfect for skiing, as the hotel is directly on the slopes. The ski room is convenient, and the access to the Gornergrat ski area is unbeatable.
Summer: Incredible hiking trails with direct access to the Gornergratbahn for easy excursions to higher altitudes.

TTài khoản kháchPleasantly surprised by how big the room was! A rarity in Switzerland for sure. Modern furnishings a plus! Lovely surprise balcony with a sideways view of the town, nice to sit outside to unwind at the end of the long day. Bathroom was rather lacking in character compared to the room and bath tub/screen was quite inconvenient. But basic amenities are there, two sinks + separate WC were appreciated. Breakfast was average, adequate but not great spread. No swimming pool, bare gym, uninspiring suana area for a 4* hotel so manage your expectations accordingly. Location very close to train station (5 mins), off a quiet corner, complimentary luggage shuttle would be nice instead of charging CHF12 for what is literally a 1 minute ride in a buggy.

Chúng tôi sẽ giới thiệu khách sạn này nếu bạn chỉ ở lại một hoặc hai đêm và muốn kiểm soát ngân sách của mình khi ở Zermatt vì ăn uống bên ngoài và các hoạt động ở đây rất tốn kém.
Phòng chỉ là nơi để ngủ. Chúng tôi có hai giường đơn có thanh chắn bên dưới hơi lỏng và chúng rơi ra khi tôi ngồi xuống nhưng sau khi sửa xong, chúng tôi thấy giường đủ thoải mái. Các phòng đã cũ với đồ nội thất cũ và kết hợp giữa đồ nội thất và đèn chiếu sáng. Có một chiếc TV nhỏ và đầu đĩa DVD nhưng chúng tôi thấy không cần sử dụng chúng vì có rất nhiều thứ để làm và xem ở Zermatt. Bữa sáng tại khách sạn rất ngon và họ có nhiều loại trái cây, bánh mì, pho mát Thụy Sĩ và một ít trứng luộc chín. Họ có nước ép, sữa và cũng có thể pha cà phê theo yêu cầu. Khách sạn có máy giặt và một số nhà hàng nổi tiếng n*** trong khuôn viên.
Vị trí là điểm tuyệt nhất của khách sạn này. Chỉ mất 5 phút đi bộ đến ga tàu và nằm ở vị trí rất trung tâm. Khách sạn gần Gornergrat Bahn, Bảo tàng Matterhorn và nhà thờ Eglise St. Mauritius. Đài quan sát Matterhorn tại nhà thờ rất tuyệt để ngắm bình minh trên đỉnh Matterhorn và không quá đông đúc nên nếu bạn có một ngày đẹp trời thì việc đi bộ một đoạn ngắn và dậy sớm là xứng đáng. Chúng tôi đến vào đầu tháng 11 nên chưa phải tất cả các khách sạn, cửa hàng và nhà hàng đều mở cửa nhưng vẫn còn đủ để chúng tôi vui vẻ.
Khách sạn không có thang máy và cầu thang hơi hẹp nên đừng mang quá nhiều đồ khi đến Zermatt. Chúng tôi rất thích Zermatt và đánh giá cao khách sạn này vì giá cả phải chăng và vị trí của nó. Nếu bạn không tìm kiếm bất cứ thứ gì quá sang trọng thì Hotel Helvetia sẽ là lựa chọn phù hợp để ngủ và nghỉ ngơi.
Điều quan trọng cần lưu ý là Zermatt không cho phép ô tô nhưng chúng tôi thấy bãi đậu xe giá cả phải chăng và dễ tiếp cận tại ga xe lửa Täsch và dịch vụ tàu hỏa rất thường xuyên đến và đi từ Zermatt.
