Wir waren 3 Übernachtungen dort. Über den 1. Mai.
Ausstattung lediglich 2.
This hotel is amazing. If you're anywhere near Austria or the Bavarian Apls, I recommend that you visit this hotel at least three nights or more. We arrived by helicopter, doing a sightseeing tour prior checking in. The landing fee is €300. If you arrive by car, there is plenty of underground parking. The small lakr near the landing pad is rumored to be a bombed out house from the third Reich. The entire area is rich in WWII history. This is where the third Reich had luxury homes as well as meeting places. Nearby is the German WWII documentation center and up on the mountain is the Eagles Nest. The Documentation center is one entrance to the myriad of underground tunnels and bunkers. Some of which you can actually walk in and preview. The center is a short 10 minute walk. The hotel itself is probably build over some of the tunnels or at least very close by. The town of Berchtesgaden is a one hour walk or a €20 cab ride. Electric buses park 30 to 45 minutes for the Eagles nest. Definitely worth a visit. While in town, I recommend a visit to the salt mine. Tours are given every day. The Hotel has a beautiful lobby area, including a lounge with a woodburning fireplace. This is where you can order snacks, like dinner or variety of drinks. Unfortunately when we arrived, we didn't get to experience the two specialty restaurants. At the beginning of the week, you are limited to a standard restaurant, or the lounge, or room service. Service was top-notch. There was only one night where we didn't get turn-down service but other nights, it was perfect. Rooms are clean and have a spectacular view, if you select a room with a mountain view. The indoor-outdoor heated pool includes amazing views of the Bavarian alps. Multi lingual staff include Germany, Austria, Spain, and Croatia. All very friendly and helpful. There are lots of hiking trails around the resort. Check-in and check-out are flawless. I highly recommend this resort and think it is one of my top four favorites in Europe. Well done Kempinski !

We had one of the best experiences with the brand at the Bavarian version of Kempinsky. The friendly staff, delicious food, and breathtaking scenery combined with hikes, the unique sauna to recover, massages, and a world-renowned museum in the area made it a visit to remember. Then theres the hotel being in the clouds, followed by rain and sun! So a visit to repeat.

We stay at this 5* hotel second time in last years. Still a professionally managed hotel. we like: - nice staff, special in restaurant - clean interior - breakfast is well organized and varied selection - hotel location - valet parking garage - less than 30 min car drive to Salzburg we dislike: - inside ( big) pool is too cold - we missed several different saunas - better arranged seating area by the fireplace in the bar

It was a pleasure to come back to this “hidden” gem. We were treated with an upgrade that made our stay even more special and memorable than expected. What a perfect start to our Europe road trip. So thank you so much for that! Everything from the staff, the rooms, the food, the surroundings are five stars here. The ambiance at this hotel is so special and amazing. Everything is thought of. And its the small details that makes you feel special and at “home”. The only small “complaint” we had, was the hotel is missing a kids club area. We were told when we left, that there is a place for children, so that would have been nice if we were told that at arrival, when they saw we have children. I’m not sure if its something suitable for smaller children (4 and 7), but it would be great if there was some sort of activities for children, so parents could enjoy an hour for themselves. But that is truly the only thing that is missing at this beautiful hotel.

Wonderful mountain hotel, wonderful view and wonderful food. Friendly, helpful service. Great ambience. Lovely big, clean standard room with supercomfy beds and bathroom with shower and bathtub. Excellent restaurants (dined in two out of three). Breakfast was a dream with all my favorites and more. Came for snow and skiing, but "had to settle for" interesting, gloomy Berchtesgaden Museum, Saltmine sightseeing and hotel spa; I missed a cold tub, but enjoyed the small outside pool immensely. The hotel fitnesscenter is very good, bright, enough space and with high quality equipment.

The Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden is exceptional! Wow - what a stunning hotel in a magical setting. Despite four seasons of Spring weather, including snow, we had a very memorable stay. The staff were welcoming and informative, facilities and dining were excellent, and the rooms well appointed. Even though we did not get to explore the alpine area as we had hoped, the hotel and spa were perfect places to relax and watch the storms roll by. We will certainly we back.

Stayed three nights in this unforgettable location with breathtaking scenery that provided serenity and tranquility. Immediately upon arrival we headed out for a walk around the grounds and scouted out the remnants of history on property as well as a short walk down the hill. When we got to our room later in the day, we were greeted with a sumptuous chocolate surprise. The attention to detail was incredible and at that moment we knew we were staying someplace extremely special. The breakfast buffett which included several made to order menu items was the best we have ever experienced. The valet parking was smooth and very efficient. Our room had a lovely balcony which had a spectacular view of The Eagle’s Nest. The heated outdoor pool provided a unique and unforgettable experience to be able to swim in the rain while the mountains just above the hotel were getting a light dusting of snow. Would definitely stay here again and we highly recommend this hotel.
