As we know it’s name suggests itself the taj resort , Kids really enjoy a lots & made fun out it , foods was delicious .

Отель известный, немного уже не новый но территория и в целом атмосфера нормальные. Соотношение цена качество разумное. Отличный ресторан с видом на океан и очень странный ресторан где проходит завтрак ужин (отзывы на картах Google) это подтверждают. Пляж немного грязный, но это проблема не отеля а в целом местного населения.

Highly disappointed by the service. Front desk committed to give room in 30 mins, which they have given in 2 hours, when they were aware baby is with us and we could not go anywhere. In Room, there were spots on the sofa, table and dust on fan, They were so frustrated in giving milk for the baby. In room dining person just hung up call without listening. Food quality was not good.

We arrived rather tired but were very impressed with the welcome as the hotel had listened to our request to switch between lunch and evening meals. Not only did they offer this but in recognition of our 14 night half board booking they not only upgraded us to Superior Sea View room but also offered a dine around option where we only paid more for steak prawns or lobster options at any of the hotel restaurants . The hotel went out of their way to ensure we had the best of holidays. There are pool activities daily as well as other options. We enjoyed the gym and spa facilities too. The bar staff were all lovely and there are too many to name. I would like to make special mention of the new Food and Beverage Manager Kosata who ensured we had a memorable time. He continually is on the look out for ways to improve the hotel offering. The Seafood Fiesta on our last night with a much improved band, fireworks and three live cooking stations was a memorable way to finish our holiday. I would like to also mention our waiters Rosnan and Nuwan at the Shack who gave us excellent cheerful service at all times. Sam and most of the breakfast waiters and waitresses provided excellent levels of services often going above and beyond and we welcomed early access on our last day. We were even offered food for our journey. One useful tip is that Taj will provide packed breakfast/lunch if you are setting off on an early tour. This was our second stay at a Taj property and we commend the group for their efforts and training and also the conditions for their staff. Milton cleaned and decorated our room and certainly went the extra mile. All in all excellent . The Christmas tree lighting with carols, drinks and canapés was a lovely contribution by the hotel

All staff were lovely. Saman was our room cleaner. Thank you for the daily towel figurines. They were funny. Our room was 424. Huge balcony. Beautiful views. Lovely decor. Spacious. Locked Safe and hairdryer provided. Couldn’t fault it. More evening entertainment necessary. The musicians were not always of a high standard although the Dj at the tease bar was banging! Pool is lovely. Pool side ladies toilet utterly inadequate. Needs to be cleaned more frequently. Glass doors not ideal and showers / changing areas better replaced with 2 more nice sized toilets. Buffet food and The shack were lovely but sometimes the guests left the palm restaurant areas in quite a state. One person constantly cleaning the buffet surfaces would be ideal. Larger spoons for big bowl items please. More disinfectant for all tables also preferable.

Taj Bentota needs to update & upgrade their property to live upto the brand of Taj Hotels group. The Location is excellent and while the staff are trying to do their best for guests, the infrastructure & interiors need to be upgraded. For the price being paid, other hotels in the vicinity provide better value for money and internal ambience. I had requested on the very first day for my room closet clothes hangers to be replaced as they were rusted and could spoil my clothes that I had to hang on them. However, despite 2 reminders, they were never changed. This is not expected from a Taj group property. Breakfast area staff is very helpful. When I first checked-in, my assigned guest room main door card lock system did not work and hotel staff had to call engineering person to solve. However, it could not be resolved and after few hours I had change rooms. Not the best way to start one’s first stay at a hotel.

It is magnificent property with premium amenities and services . And special mention to Chef Dalip whose hospitality made my stay extra special . He cooked special meals for me on my request both for dinner and breakfast. Indeed a wonderful experience .

We have never experienced such attentive service and we are frequent travellers. The staff here are very friendly , courteous and respectful. Their customer service cannot be faulted. We stayed in a superior sea view room on a bed and breakfast basis. The room was very comfortable and clean and we were presented with creative towel art by Milton who couldn’t do enough for us. The main restaurant is excellent and if you order from the Al La Carte (very reasonably priced with generous portions) the chef Kamal helps you to choose and explains how he has cooked the meal. He is excellent. The town can be easily reached by walking along the beach and cutting through or very cheaply by Tuk Tuk. The beach area is fantastic and the waves are huge!

Really enjoyed our stay, comfortable room, well looked after by Chandimal Loved the Shack , great seafood and service, Palms also very good for breakfast and dinner, especially the hopper and dosa stations Overall an excellent holiday and would love to return

A beautiful property with a stunning beach and pool! One of cleanest beaches I have ever been too. Huge shoutout to the service, everyone was so hospitable and tanks to Sam who was so kind and helpful and Made sure all our needs were taken care of. His amazing hospitality made our trip even better.

This was our fourth visit to Taj Bentota. We were greeted by Yasitha Duty manager front reception with a very warm welcome. We would like to sincerely thank the General Manager Mr Sebi Mathews and Piyush Mishra the executive Chef who were omnipresent, always smiling, pleasant and made us feel welcome. This hotel is one of the finest choices in Bentota with its spectacularly maintained gardens that takes your breath away. Beyond the green, green grass the golden sand beach and views over the Indian Ocean. You know that you have made the absolute right choice. A definitely perfect holiday. Taj hospitality at its best. The large swimming pool is easy on the eye. Our special thanks to the superbly experienced chef Dalip Singh and to Jasvir Singh for looking after us with delicious food. All the staff at The Palms, Sam, Sandunika hot pastry lady,the lovely Sewwandi and Viranga for always ready with a smile. Chef Kamal for delicious pizza, Mr Damith, Ravindra Silva, Amila. Apologies for forgetting anyone. A very special thank you to Samantha for the best Chinese meal at the Chinese Restaurant. Your service is exceptional and it has been a pleasure to have known you during all our four visits at the Taj Bentota. At the Jiva Spa, Suba spa lady and Suranga an exceptional therapist. We had a great and an unforgettable stay. The luxury of such hospitality comes rare. We will be back! The Palms staff even packed breakfast for our early morning flight. Thank you

It was the first international holiday my mother and I have been on together and we had a fabulous time. Sri Lanka is stunning and the Resort staff were wonderful; Sam's little messages in chocolate powder on my mum's cappuccino's made her morning every morning! The pool is delightful and the spa was wonderful, I had come in off several flights and was a knotted mess but the morning after my massage was good as new! My only constructive feedback would be that the Ocean View rooms could do with updating and a very deep clean. The housekeeping did a great job but hard to work with a tired room. I very much appreciated the towel animals :)
