Magic Tropical Splash

Just spent 7 days at magic tropical splash, with my partner and nearly 3 year old. Hotel is very dated and could do with a good renovation. Room was exactly like photos and no issues with the room at all but the rest of the hotel was quite old and lots of things need fixing. We stayed in block 3 and there were 4 lifts, two of them were quite scary to be in as sounded like they would break down any minute. The pools were as pictured and lots of sunbeds, but the water was very cold - the breeze travelling through the buildings surrounding us didn’t help but I suppose the hotel can’t help that - just a warning as my little one found it hard to enjoy the pool as was too cold (maybe we went too early in the year) The soft play and games room were very damaged - the netting on the softplay was hanging off in parts and the part to climb up was completely broken so was nearly unuseable, the games room needs a complete renovation as there were broken tiles and flooring. The food was good, great selection for breakfast and dinner and a snack bar that was open all day, although it was the same food in the snack bar every day so no complaints about the food as there was something for everyone. The hotel staff although not rude they were very unhelpful at times and seemed like they all wanted to be elsewhere. The Jet2 staff were more than helpful though The entertainment was a bit repetitive and on very late - didn’t start til 9pm so was very late for children. Also as soon as the sun went down it was very breezy so a jacket or some warmer clothes was a must (again maybe too early in the year) the music went on quite late too, on average it didn’t stop until 11.30pm so our room was quite noisy at times as we were overlooking pool/entertainment area Overall the holiday was fine, feel a bit let down by the hotel and staff but had an ok week. Won’t be staying there again though.

Family of 4, 2 adults a 10 year old and an 8 year old. We had a fantastic 10 days all inclusive. The pool was incredibly warm, the swim up bar great and staff great, one barman had been there since our last vist, the kids loved all the slides as did we. Drinks were great, all brands with good measures. There were nuts and cheese type dorito crisps available at the main bar. Food was plentiful and we never had an issues with the choice. It's not fine dining, but it ticks all the boxes for a family. We stayed here in October half term 2019 before covid, and Auust 2018 and we thought it was so much better in the summer. (The pools were really cold in October which meant we rarely went for a swim in October). Evening entertainment was not very good, and we felt it was worse than previous visits. It looks like they have made changes in 2024 which would be welcomed. The guest acts were okay, but what really let it down was the in house entertainment before and after the acts. We took the opportunity to visit the nearby beach and bars which were very popular, and two nights we went to Beniform for food and evening entertainment. Buses are regular and cheap or you can get a taxi for around 16 euros. On different days they had a foam party, and put matts on the pool to see if you could run across them. There is an ice cream truck with lovely ice creams every day and a waffle truck late afternoon. The weather was hot, we arrived in the back end of a heat wave. The only time we struggled was in the evening with the humidity, but the air-conditioning in the room really came into its own when we went to bed. All in all this is a great hotel for families with young children, and all 4 of us have great memories and would love to go back in the summer.

Lovley place pool refreshing and a warm atmosphere there but stay away from the bacon it will honestly give u the bad stomach for ur whole time staying and bring plastic cups for free refills and the cleans sometimes leave there belongings on the bed. We found a hair clip just lying there also there is a shop around the corner where u can buy powerful lazer pointers the shop has lots of clothes outside just ask (green lazer pointers)

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at Magic Tropical Splash and this is an honest review, I will begin with the highlights before moving on to the couple of negatives that bring it down from a 5 star rating Transfer time from Alicante Airport is roughly 50 Minutes, we were the second stop. On arrival check in was swift, we were in Room 354 in Tower 3 on the 14th Floor, every member of the family receives an all inclusive wrist band ( Blue for kids to indicate no alcohol to be served, green for the adults) and these wristbands also act as your room key which is excellent, no forgetting to bring your key card out or anything like that. The room was a Caribbean silver one bedroom, we basically had a seperate Bedroom with 2 single beds and then 2 double beds in the living area, more than enough space for us all to sleep, it also has a large balcony with a table and chairs and some rattan furniture as well, the balcony overlooked the pool and entertainment area We were all inclusive Ultra which meant our fridge was restocked everyday, an empty fridge will result in you being restocked with 2 cans of estrella, 2 bottles of coke, 1 bottle of fizzy orange, one bottle of fizzy lemon and 4 bottles of water, honestly I would have upgraded to ultra for this convenience alone. Other benefits of Ultra are you dont have to pay for the gaming experience to book your kids into (we took advantage of this once, our kids thought this was just ok and so didn't want to return, they have VR at home though so was nothing really new to them), you can order up to 3 pizzas per day to your room (also used this once, but the pizzas aren't great in all honesty), you can use shuttles to the sister hotels around Benidorm and you can book a meal and drink in Maui beach which we didn't get around to doing. If any of the above you think you would like to take advantage of then I would book the Ultra all inclusive instead of the normal The pool is amazing, it is huge and has many different areas to it, 2 big slides for adults and kids alike and then some smaller slides for the smaller kids to use and also a pirate ship play area for really young kids which they seem to enjoy. It is Freezing though, like super cold but you do get used to it and after baking in the spanish heat all morning and afternoon it is quite refreshing to climb into. One thing a lot of people hate on holiday is sunbed wars. You know the drill. you wake up and by 6am people have been out and reserved all of the best sunbeds and you feel obliged to start having to do it too, Well here you don't really have to worry too much about that, first off the pool gates don't open until 9am sharp so you will not gain access to to any sunbeds before then, there is usually a queue of about 20 people will start to wait from about 8:30am, when they are opened a member of staff will hand out flyers warning that if you leave your sunbed unattended before 10am then the your towels will be removed, this didn't really

We had a great time with our 2yr old granddaughter and will be returning next July. I was so worried about this place after the reviews of illness in the hotel. Firstly thank you to jet2 and the hotel for my request for a lower floor. We were in tower 3 floor 5. The room was perfect for our needs the beds were comfy and my if I had to find something to moan about it would be the folding doors to the kitchenette that are annoying (just remove them) and maybe some cutlery. There was plenty of food to choose from even for the fussiest of eaters. It's a great family hotel. The kids will love it. Animation team are brilliant with the kids. All the staff were friendly from reception,cleaners and bar staff. Our room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels also replenished along with the fridge with pop, water and beer. I will return to this hotel.

We had all inclusive and was provided with a wrist band.This opened our room and also a pass to everything. Did not spend any money on food as there is a snack bar open. This provided a good range of food and ice creams. Friendly staff...always helpful Food at break. dinner.evening meal 10/ 10. Rooms comfortable kettle provided Plenty for children to do. The slides are great.pool is cold ( doesn't stated heated anywhere!)but get used to it once in. Would bring the children safe area plenty of lifeguards in duty Weather for early May hot.

Everything was amazing here. The personal very helpful always, starting from reception to the management . Any question I had, was answered. Any problem was resolved. Viorica Pop , is working for the cleaning, always made sure everything is cleaned , I am alergic to bleach and I am very happy that she made sure that is taken in consideration. Also Alina, the manager of the hotel was amazing. On 15th was my husband birthday and we’ve been out all day but when we arrived at the hotel a big surprise was waiting for him . That was very unexpected but made our day , honestly. Is so nice to be treated the was we’ve been treat . The food also was amazing, lots of different foods, every night was a different cuisine style . The team of Jet2holiday was amazing also , the girls helped me with all the bookings for different activities, hotels , games etc. The ultra all inclusive really give you a special holiday. The bar team always there with the best cocktails, drinks and snacks . Definitely I recommend and we will be back !

I feel I need to leave an honest review of our stay here as in the week leading up to coming, I couldn't have felt more upset or stressed after reading the recent reviews. I even looked into whether I could change the hotel but found this would mean we would lose all of our money, so we decided to risk it as this was our kids first time abroad and didn't want them to miss out. There are pros and cons as I find to be the case anywhere you go and I do think sometimes people do like to come on here just to moan for moaning's sake. When we arrived our room wasn't ready but we were given our wrist bands so that we could enjoy the facilities while we waited and were able to leave our luggage behind reception. There was a good selection of drinks available both alcoholic and none alcoholic. We brought our own plastic cups from home as I'd read in advance that you will need to hire one from the hotel if not. Not an issue for us, and seems to be a good idea to keep waste to a minimum. All cups were rinsed too before a new drink being poured. The bar staff at all of the bars were perfectly friendly enough, never rude but never really wanting a chat - it was busy at times so can understand them just wanting to get everyone served quickly. When the room was ready we got our things and headed to our block. There are 4 blocks of rooms two on each side of the hotel, we were in block 4, floor 11 - Room 441. I've seen a lot of people complaining about the rooms. To be honest we couldn't really fault it. Yes, it's a little outdated and there's the odd but of touching up it could do with, but it was somewhere comfy enough to rest our heads and for the kids to have a good sleep. The balcony was plenty big enough and we had a view right over the stage. A lot of negatives have been about the noise levels, however with the balcony shut we didn't really notice an issue. Yes we could hear the entertainment but not at a level to be upset about. The shower did tend to run out of hot water after the first person had been in, we didn't report this but perhaps if we had they may have looked into it. Along with the lock on the balcony door being a bit temperamental. The room was cleaned every day to a good standard and our fridge restocked with water and cans of pop. One of the kids knocked a cup off the table in the balcony which we cleared up and left on the table outside however this was never removed so not sure how much they clean outside the room. We found all of the food to be up to a good standard, there was always something for all of us to find and enjoy, it was always plenty hot enough and a good selection. The snack bar didn't have a massive variety but the main restaurant was open too for lunch if we wanted something different. We were on the Ultra All Inclusive package which meant we could have pizza's delivered up to the room. We did this once and it was really nice. The kids loved the ice creams too. There is a nice beach 5-10 minutes walk away with

Please do not go to this hotel untill they sort out the d&v issue. They need to close and deep clean. They will tell you its a seasonal bug... kids pass on germs.. I have been allover the place all inclusive and never come across anything like this in my life. This has been traumatising as a family. Only positive was the help of Louisa and Danielle and Natalia when my daughter started with it they was helpful and kind. I also do not think it is the food... they never had soap in the pool toilets which is going to cause alot of germs spreading. I seen cleaners mopping the floor then putting the filthy water down the sink in the toilets and not cleaning it. Felt like there was a strong perfume cleaning smell covering up the vomit smell. We arrived on sunday the 5th of May. While around the pool we spoke to a family that told us 5 out of 6 had a bug and she knew of more. We thought we would he lucky however Tuesday my daughter started vomiting then diarrhea followed she was being sick for 24 hours and still has the runs now and its the 12th May and it is green. I am taking her to the doctor for tests tomorrow. Which I will be using to take this hotel and jet 2 to court. As we thought it couldn't get any worse we was due to leave sat 11th May but my husband started with D&V so bad he couldn't leave the bathroom. I went for help at the Reception they do not care. The reps wasn't in. They was just telling me I need to pay for the extra night or leave. I had to ring jet 2 change the flights which cost £290 then. Then my daughter who is 6 and poorly was crying scared with how rude reception thinking we was going to get kicked out. With her being so scared I said I would pay which they charged me over 280 euros for 1 night without all inclusive how is that price reasonable I'm disgusted at the end of a holiday too. We got a doctor to the room which we had to pay 150 euros for jet 2 said if they can see the report they will pay for it. Waiting for the refund from them to come. Then we had to pay 50 for medication that was prescribed. We couldn't change our airport transfer so this cost us 80 euros in a taxi today. With all this I witnessed people being sick myself and people telling me they was sick. The sickness was round the pool on the stairs in the dinning hall. Do not let them lie to you about this. I just want to warn families not to come here as I don't think I will get over it. I was in absolute tears asking for help and they don't care they just say pay and try claim it back. What if we didn't have the funds after a holiday. My daughter has lost so much weight from this holiday I'm heartbroken. I wouldn't take the risk of this as it seems to be getting worse.
