super cozy room, staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. homely place and generally quite clean. best bang for your buck. location is a little out of the way, but a few mini marts nearby. you could get your food delivered to you easily, so the location didn’t bother us too much. overall a great experience! would definitely come back again, thank you

Great silence and cosy . It’s not new place, the rooms downstairs are a bit oldish, they need renovation and are a bit dark. Upstairs the rooms are new and light and worth recommendation. We recommend rooms type suite. The pool is big and clean and the staff is very friendly. There are shops nearby.

I booked this as a treat for myself for 2 days on my way back to the UK. I booked myself a villa with the private pool and all I can say is Wow! The outdoor living/dining area has everything you could need, the sofa is comfy and the pool is beautiful. The villa itself is huge with more than enough space. The rooms are slightly dated, but I don’t see this as a problem and still thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I thought it was excellent value for money. I did not eat at the hotel, although as far as I am aware they only offer breakfast but cannot comment. Super easy to access Jimbaran, a 10 minute walk but everything is really accessible via Grab or Gojek. This place is a delight - I’ll be back!

We booked a villa and loved it. Quaint and design was beautiful. The pool was great especially with our 4 year old and is easier with a private pool. Soraya the manager is very friendly and accommodating 👍🏻Breakfasts were lovely (son devoured the pancakes). Yes it’s far from anything but it’s easy to Gojek around. We would come back for sure if we had the opportunity.

Cute little villa, spent a night here. Great Value for money for the space and facilities. A small pool surrounded by trees to chill. Staff are friendly and kind. One note: they only serve breakfast, no lunch or dinner, and it’s in the inner area, u need to order grab for food or go out. This is not a problem for me since I’m doing a very short stay and spent my time outside.

Made to feel very welcome from day 1 and that continued throughout the 9 day stay. Very helpful advice on many topics. Large room opening onto lovely gardens and pool.

This is the paradise of Bali. Always it feels as “coming home” Everything is nice, the crew, the beds, the showers, the breakfast, the dinners, the swimming pool! I have been there several times, I love this place

ALL IN ALL: Not 3 Star and for this price on Bali we expected a more "tight and shiny" villa. The advertising pics were taken when it was new, I guess. Not current. Very nice, spacious villa with a clean pool! Materials used for building the villa are high quality, craftsmanship less so. Must have been enchanting before pandemic. The room was clean, the floor as well, just some areas had some dirt (for a 3-Star place ok-ish....?). The beds, pillows and towels were very clean (except one, that came from the laundry and had dirt stains on it). They exchange towels (including the beach towels) only once a day. I asked the reception for new towels, but after 2 hours of waiting around 11:30h I had to get the new ones by myself (cleaning staff looked insulted, when I did). Receptionists are very friendly. You can order food from multiple good restaurants nearby. Negatives: The kitchen area cannot be used for your own cooking (not clean and the gas burners looks broken) and the fridge works, but is very old and the inside ice section's door was broken. The garden is well cared for, but the outside area could be cleaner (just details).

stayed here for three nights last week when i revisited Bali.it is a big villa with a nice pool,there are two flat screen TVs,one inside the room, another one in the living room.there are a fridge,a kitchen,sofas,dining table in the living room. sofas look old and not clean,but ok for me, i didnt use them.inside the room,there is a cupboard,the bathroom attached to the room,love its open air concept,there is a bathtub inside it.staffs here very friendly and nice,the female staff surya is helpful,we communicate via WA,you can ask her any questions or problem you have,also order your breakfast via WA.breakfast not free,have to buy,during the stay,i had scrambled eggs,porched eggs,mie goreng,fruits,juice.all are tasty.the place is quiet,you can have a relaxing time here.the villa close to muaya beach,there are many seafood restaurants at muaya beach,you can even go there by foot.i love to stay here,will come again for sure.

Firstly I must say I do not like writing negative reviews and I know that the Balinese are struggling and we always want to support people, however this hotel is so run down and far removed from the reviews we read when we booked up to stay here and I wouldnt want other people being as disappointed as we were. We booked this accommodation as we used Tripadvisor as our go to guide and the reviews were great, but realised that they were pre pandemic. The Astari is clearly struggling, the manager Ayu is lovely, however it needs vast improvements before it should be accommodating guests, The facilities are more like an upmarket backpackers/Fawlty Towers rather than a hotel. We read old reviews which mentioned, free transfer service, great spa, good dining facilities, yoga classes..... the hotel currently does not offer any of these. The reception is unmanned half the time, so your keys are left for anyone to take. You can not lock the 2 bedroomed villa entrance when you go out, so anyone can enter. There is no restaurant, no spa so basically it is like an upmarket backpackers where guests are using a communal fridge and cooking in what presumably was the restaurant. We stayed in the 2 bedroomed villa, the towels were grey and torn, there was a hole in the bath, making it grubby, unappealing and unusable, the toilet was not secured properly and wobbled, the sinks and shower were blocked, so the water does not run away etc. However even worse was the other bathroom which STUNK of raw sewerage and the smell wafted out over the pool. The staff must have been aware of this as there were mothballs trying to disguise the stench in the bathroom. There was no washing up cloth/washing up liquid, the kitchen was very basic with dirty glasses on arrival. We only stayed here 2 nights otherwise we would have checked out on arrival.
