This hotel is owned by the Best Western chain but has good personality - focused on the literary author Gustave Flaubert (who was born in Rouen). Rooms are compact but clean - big windows and blackout curtains - comfortable. Breakfast is an additional 19.00 € per person - pricey. The biggest plus is the location - in the centre of the old town, right next to the Jeanne D'arc memorial church and within 5-10 mins walk of most key sights. Staff were friendly, spoke great English (in case your French isn't good) and checking in was easy.

Good location near train station in Rouen. Love the hotel which is just next to the Rouen Tower, historical site. Love the sweets and candies and the fruits infused wster which is complimentary. Not forgetting the apples too. Front desk staff are friendly and very helpful.

Herr Lefrevre empfing uns freundlich und fragte auch nach eventuellen Wünschen. Das Zimmer war sauber und verfugt sogar über ein Bügelbrett. Es gab genügend Stauraum und Platz für Kleidung und Körperpflegeartikel. Das Bett war 2 mtr. breit und angenehm gepolstert; nicht durchgelegen. Die beiden Kopfkissen bestehen aus einem großen, konventionellem Kissen und einem Kissen mit Memory-Schaum. Letzteres ist deutlich fester (gibt aber dennoch ausreichend nach). Klimaanlage ist vorhanden und funktioniert. Der Treppengang geht direkt an den Zimmervermietern entlang. Vor allzu neugierigen schützt ein elektrisches Rollo. Das sollte aber ein paar Zentimeter hochstehen, damit in der Nacht Frischluft ins Zimmer kommt.

TTài khoản kháchWhat to say about this beautiful mansion/castle… It is a gorgeous building, with a gorgeous park, and gorgeous potential. But unfortunately I believe it is also a very difficult and expensive business for the owners to keep up with not only the style/deco, cleanliness of the amenities and labour charges for the service. The staff we met was really sweet and helpful to us, but surely overworked and multitasking at everything. I have plenty I could discuss here, there is so much that could be done to make this castle hotel experience as a premium one. But, am not the owner, I don’t have the responsibility and the stress of maintaining a HUGE place with limited revenue and forever overheads to deal with…. I’d like everyone here to think that when you are choosing to stay in a castle, and you pay only €160 a night, you cannot expect the results of a €350 one. So, yes, there are many things to improve at BelleFontaine, but please, do continue to stay there, dear Travellers, to allow the owners and their family members, to take care of their castle. Thank you for them. (If the owners want me to tell what I would recommend… contact me! )

MMARCELHOTruly felt that this hotel is the best location if u ever visited Mont saint michel , France . For my opinion is all about getting a nice photo. The restaurant & cafe is the only one in town with the whole castle as ur backdrop. Is very accessible as the bus from Pontorson train station stop in front of the hotel as well as the free shuttle crossing the bridge to month saint michel. All rooms have an open balcony which I loved it because you will feel connected with the nature . Bonus: there is a small path that cut tru the vast grass land to this amazing poster like photo spot , just google Méandres from ur hotel and is about 1.3km walk to there.( if is after rain , bring a boots it gets muddy )

TTài khoản kháchNot much to say … only good stuff! Nice welcome at reception when we checked in earlier than planned. We got touristic advice to go around and they kept our big suitcases. We unfortunately didn’t get parking as they were full.. all reserved (NB: trip.com never discussed that we had to book the parking, this is something Accor and Trip.com should discuss about as this is now our 2nd encounter of this problem…. Coming from Malaysia and renting a car, this is not helping… we had no idea we had to reserve parking) The bedroom was very nice, pretty balcony but small bathroom… especially given the placement of the toilet…. lol. But never mind. Nice deck of the bedroom and the hotel too… themed on Christian Dior and fashion, we liked that ☺️ Last the breakfast and its location: beautiful. The view of the sea is really good, the furniture is nicely chosen, and the food is good. First time I see a « make your sunny side up eggs yourself » set in a hotel, which was cool.

JJoe the world citizenThe hotel is located inside the gate. They provide a parking space which costs €12.50, way more affordable than the parking outside. The staff can give the code to enter the gate. There is a shuttle to Mont Saint-Michel right outside the hotel every 10 min until 1 am. The room is clean and comfortable. However the carpet outside is a little old. It reminded me like a motel in the States. Overall it’s a good stay and very convenient for visiting Mont Saint-Michel.

TTài khoản kháchThe main building of the property is beautiful but has a tight parking space, which… needs to be booked ahead.. and we didn’t know . Anyway, also be aware that there are 3 buildings within the property, 1min walk to each other, and in winter at the dark of the evening, it is not really convenient to go from one place to another one. Anyway. Fact is that the 2 buildings we were presented are beautiful, fully renovated, warm and nicely decorated. Well done. Breakfast was also very good; I just think that the breakfast timing mngt of the various bedrooms run off… as people were queuing up, waiting for tables. My advice: wake up early, go breakfast early! ;-) Again very nice mansion and service.

JJass PhuaThe location of the hotel was very convenient, about 10 mins walk from the train station and walking distance to a lot of restaurants. The staffs were all so friendly and helpful! There’s a day I was back to hotel from Mont Saint Michel and it was late and all the restaurants were closed. I was hungry and cold and ask for foods from hotel, though kitchen was closed they still managed to whip up with ham ,cheese and baguettes. It makes me feel like home! Also, do try the dinner at the restaurant it was good! I just want to thank all the staffs for the hospitality and wish you guys Merry Christmas!

There are water refill stations on every floor, which is very handy. The breakfast has good variety of products. The swimming pool is on a smaller side and the water is quite cold to our preferences, so it’s mainly for “soaking in cold water” rather then swimming:) the family room for 4 is spacious, beds are comfortable, window sound proofing is not the best.
