Perfect layover hotel, so close to terminal A, only about 8 minutes in the free shuttle they provided the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Dinner was really good, especially the springbok carpaccio!
I’d recommend it to anyone needing to be near the airport.

This hotel is near airport and good for overnight stay to catch flights.You could get the shuttle at the bus station near the airport. The frequency is hourly.
This hotel is near East Rand Mall. The counter staff told us that it is unsafe to walk across the street and advised us to take either Uber or hotel's van. If you are traveling in a group of 4 or more people, it is cheaper to get the hotel's van (80 rand one way) instead of Uber

I stayed here for 2 weeks, and I enjoyed myself immensely! I mostly keep to myself and don’t go out, as I was just here to relax and unwind. However I felt very safe and comfortable with my stay. The room is clean and smells amazing! There was a cute glass balcony which was pleasant as I could step out a bit and enjoy the great weather. The bathroom was stocked, I had a good selection of teas and coffees. I was very satisfied and impressed with my room selection. Although I think next time I will choose the apartment hotel since I always bought my own food 😄. They have a free shuttle to and from Nelson Mandela Square every hour which I utilized. They have a pool which I could see from my balcony and a gym that was opposite my room, however I did not utilize either of those facilities. All the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place

Hotel is close to the Airport, within walking distance. Rooms are fairly clean, good for a layover stay
Negatives:
We checked-in around 2am due to a late flight and was encountered by one of the rudest receptionist in all our travels. Examples include:
- No greetings when we arrive
- Throughout the check-in process, barely said a word (with exception of last point)
- Unable to find our booking because she
used the wrong check-in date, but did not apologise
- When she passed us 2 keys, we assumed the check-in process were completed for 2 rooms and moved towards the room. In her words, she said “Friend, where do you think you guys are going? We are not done yet”

Onomo Hotel’s proximity to Nelson Mandela Square Mall is a stone throw away, you literally just cross the small road from the mall exit point straight into the hotel
Their breakfast was good however there’s need to add on variety and vegetables!
The rooms are small but clean linen. The TV’s are not smart ones that in some rooms there’s no internet TV accessed.
The bathrooms comes with a humid kinda odor that l think emanates from the pipes but they will be clean
WiFi connection was not as good had to have room changes done.
Bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, morning shoes and morning gown, they don’t offer all that!
Reception ladies were not as welcoming even upon enquiring!
The concierge, waiters and housekeeping team were very hospitable!

選這裡是因為看中了免費接送機和免費早餐，然而事實上呢，最後一趟接機是晚上11點出發，我11點多到達機場，説夜裡接機就要收費了，我願意出錢，但是卻不能來到達層接我，衹能在汽車站，眾所周知，南非自然一塌糊塗，晚上在路上走被搶的概率非常高！最後我自己花錢打車去他們旅館，發現大門緊閉！旅館位置很偏，晚上連路燈都沒有，黑燈瞎火的，司機又是黑人，大家設身處地想一下，心裏慌不慌？我知道前台晚上11點下班，但是我早就郵件説明：我11點多才落地，12點多才能到，他們明明知道，但仍然沒有留人。等了很久，司機回來，才開門進去。剛開始司機不肯給我房門鑰匙，要我加200蘭特的晚入住的費用，這個費用是我不知道的，之前在攜程下單時沒有告知。第2天為了坐班車去機場，早餐也沒有時間吃。一次並不愉快的入住體驗！

TTài khoản kháchUpon arrival, check-in at reception was smooth. We were provided with our room key and directed to our accommodation, which required us to drive to the other side of the estate. However, when we reached the room, the key did not work. We walked back to reception, where we were informed that a network issue had prevented the key from being properly programmed. The receptionist, who was very helpful, offered to accompany us to the room and opened it using a master key. She assured us that a functioning key would be delivered as soon as the network was restored.
Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed that it had not been cleaned. The window sill was sticky with what appeared to be beverage spills, the floor was dirty, the bathroom mats were not fresh, and most concerning, there were rat droppings on the window sill, on the floor behind the curtains, and behind the door. I contacted reception to request housekeeping and asked to speak with a manager, as the condition of the room was unacceptable. A housekeeping staff member arrived, but I requested that cleaning not proceed until the housekeeping manager assessed the situation. The manager quickly confirmed that the room had indeed not been cleaned and that there were clear signs of rodent activity. She apologised sincerely, asked us to wait while the room was cleaned, and said she would escalate the matter to the rooms division. While waiting on the terrace outside, we noticed a mouse in the bushes, which explained the droppings found inside.
After the room was cleaned, the manager returned, apologised again, and informed us that a complimentary bottle of wine had been arranged for us. We told her about the mouse we had seen and expressed that we did not feel comfortable staying in that room. She went back to speak with the rooms division, and we waited in the bar. An hour later, she returned with keys to a new room and directed us there. The replacement room was clean, though the entire experience made for a rocky start to our stay.
The following day, after breakfast, we returned to our room to find that the terrace doors had been removed and two maintenance staff were working. This came as an unexpected surprise, as no one had informed us that repairs would be taking place. We decided to return to the bar to allow the work to be completed. As we were celebrating a birthday that day, the housekeeping manager kindly arranged for our room to be decorated with a birthday message.
From that point onward, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay thanks to the exceptional customer service at the restaurants, bars, and spa. In particular, we would like to recognise Moses, Regal, and Tebogo at Kingsley Restaurant; Sibongile at Granatas; and Mandy at the spa for their outstanding hospitality. They truly made our stay memorable.
Overall, despite the challenges we experienced upon arrival, we had a lovely stay. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making my mother’s birthday special.

I was booked into one of the Villa Suites, and it was an experience in itself. The service throughout my stay was impeccable. Staff members were warm, attentive, and intuitive without ever being intrusive. Whether it was assistance with luggage, dining recommendations, or simply a friendly check‑in to ensure everything was perfect, the team consistently delivered with professionalism and charm.
The hotel grounds are equally impressive. Lush, tranquil, and meticulously maintained, they create a peaceful escape that feels worlds away from the bustle of the city. It’s the ideal setting for unwinding, whether by the pool, in the spa, or simply strolling through the gardens.
Dining at Fairlawns was another highlight. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and comfort. Every meal felt like a treat.
Overall, Fairlawns Boutique Hotel offers an exceptional blend of luxury, privacy, and heartfelt hospitality. My stay in the Villa Suite was unforgettable, and I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone seeking a refined and restorative escape in Johannesburg.

TTài khoản kháchMy husband arrived early at the hotel (7am) , tired and exhausted after a long flight and staff were not helpful with getting him into the room atleast a little earlier than the check-in time or offered any other available room , he was told to wait until 2pm to check into his room .
Also , he asked for a halal meal when calling room service and they just told him they don’t have anything , instead of offering an alternative .
I really hope that in future , the service of this hotel would be more helpful .

One thing that stood out was the location. It was pretty convenient for my needs, close to a few restaurants and shops, though not overly special. I was hoping for a bit more from the hotel's restaurant, as the menu was somewhat limited and the food was just okay.
