We stayed in 2 hotels over 5 nights while in Oslo, so I can compare them. This one was “dated”, seemed like the carpet was older & the door frames were chipped/scratched. The breakfast room was really crowded between 8 - 9, & extremely noisy. Otherwise it was clean & smelled fresh.

I had a truly wonderful experience during my stay at Scandic Holmekollen. The hotel boasts a relaxing ambiance and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a warm smile. The combination of the serene atmosphere and the helpfulness of the staff made my stay truly enjoyable. From the hotel it's easy to walk to some of the main tourist attractions and main streets with many supermarkets and convenience stores around. Our twin room was a little small and didn't have a kettle or fridge, otherwise it was nice and quiet and I slept very well. (A kettle and fridge plus microwave and laundry facilities were available in a shared/public space in the hotel)

I stayed in the Junior Suite at Scandic Byporten and had an excellent experience. The location is perfect — directly connected to Oslo Central Station, which makes traveling around the city and to the airport incredibly convenient. The suite was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the large windows with great city views and the cozy seating area, which made the room feel more like a small apartment than a hotel. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. The staff were professional, welcoming, and efficient. Breakfast was another highlight — a wide variety of fresh and tasty options, including local specialties. Overall, my stay was smooth and relaxing. The Junior Suite is definitely worth it if you want extra comfort and space in the heart of Oslo. Highly recommended!

The front desk is slow. And some facilities in the room is not working.

Hotel is located just 2 mins walk to Oslo Central Stn. Also close to city centre, shopping mall and cafes nearby. Room and bed are comfortable. Spacious enough to fit my big luggage and hang my jackets. I like how the bathroom floor is heated so I don't feel cold walking on it at night. Generally a good stay and I would book this place again next time.

The reception was the height of kindness and hospitality and provided assistance quickly and recommend this hotel for its cleanliness

Although a bit far from the downtown, it is a good place for business travelers. There is convenient public transportation to access the Central Station. And there is a very large cemetery nearby for walking and meditation.
