The hotel provided a very pleasant stay, with staff who were consistently helpful and courteous. Access to the high street is more convenient by car, as walking with a child may not be practical. Ample parking is available, and housekeeping services are provided daily. The breakfast offering was good, with a wide selection for non-vegetarian guests. However, vegetarian options were limited. Guests have complimentary access to the swimming pool and fitness center, which is a valuable amenity. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to guests who are comfortable with a 30–40 minute walk to the high street or plan to travel by car. KFC is imprint of hotel Arnold rental is 7 min walk. The hotel is looking and feeling very tired and dated and in serious need of upgrading.  They’re charging 2025 prices for 1980 standard services.  They clearly cater for bus tours and large parties which are not there to appreciate where they are and their surroundings.  There was serious problem with running hot water in the room as well as in the showers in the spa.  I overheard many guests complaining about no hot water in their rooms at reception.   Breakfast was very disappointing, they offer a continental selection of one type of cold meat and one type of sliced cheese with pan loaf bread!  Fort William boasts artisan bakery’s so no excuse there.  During breakfast very loud 80s movie themed music is blaring, the dining room is so big there’s practically a speaker above every second table.  When asked to turn it down we were met with a standard reply, “I was just asked to turn it up”. Totally unbelievable.  Due to the large parties tables are not cleared fast enough nor cleaned, we had to clean and set our own table before we could eat and this is where we were directed to sit. Waiting staff are clearly not trained nor directed appropriately for a hotel boasting a high standard.  We were not encouraged to dine in the hotel at all. The exterior of the building is not only showing signs of disrepair but is also very dirty. They are missing the B in the main signage and is the first thing you see on arrival.   Positives:  the room was clean although all views from most rooms do not look out onto anything nice.  Temperature of the pool, steam room and jacuzzi excellent.  The lounge bar appeared to have the best atmosphere and felt like a highland hotel. Would I recommend this hotel? Definitely not!   Would I stay there again? Definitely not!

This is a genuinely nice hotel sat right on the banks of the River Ness and a few minutes walk from the center of Inverness. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast had a good range of choices and was delicious. The staff were polite and friendly and were very happy to fuss over my small child!

Really great Hotel. Cheapest around as well so don’t really get when people book cheap hotels and complain that it’s not 5* 😂. Location is amazing. The Loch is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.

A good stay at this Nairn hotel. It was further from Inverness than we expected but that was no big problem as Nairn is such a nice little town to explore so the hotel ended up being perfect. Clean, good service and with a welcoming smile from a great reception desk. It is a bit creaky but once everyone had settled down I had a decent sleep and the breakfast was excellent. Thank you.

I found my one night stay at the Highlander Hotel to be very pleasant. My room was a generous double en suite and was spotless. As a solo traveller on a pedal bike I was pleased that there was a secure shed where I could leave my bike in confidence. The staff were very helpful over this and again when I reported that the tv wasn't receiving a signal. This was sorted very quickly with a new aerial cable. Breakfast was good, with plenty of fresh fruit and a choice of hot dishes. Great value and I'd certainly go back.

The room was spacious enough for 3 people with luggages. The view from the room was very nice with the lake and mountains. Our room was at ground level so we had direct access from our room to outside which is the lakeside and it was very nice. but keep the doors closed all times after used as it is near the lakeside and ground level. we saw a snake (not poisonous) in the grass outside the room in the early morning. The foods and drinks at the restaurant was nice although abit pricey. The view from the restaurant during breakfast in the morning was beautiful. You can bring swimsuits if u want to use the Hot spring in the hotel. We didn’t get to use but it looked nice. There is a co-op near the hotel. The only thing I wish they were better during our stay was the attitude of some staffs. The guy with the bald head was kinda rude to us during breakfast.
