National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts & History

I did not know what to expect when we went to this museum. I was amazed by the experience. To learn more about the 1916 uprising and the personal stories of those involved was heart wrenching. It is not all sad - there are some wonderful exhibits and the cafe is not too bad either!

Dublin, the Irish Imperial Capital, was known as Athens as early as the Greek times. Long history has given Dublin streets and alleys of medieval and modern architectural relics, while museums, Guinness Black Beer, Irish Breakfast, Trinity College, Hoth Harbor, and picturesque Wicklow County make a delicious and leisurely "pre-dinner".

Beautiful old museum to pop into if you are walking to phoenix park to see the deer- just up the steps to a majestic old building, coffee cart in the courtyard & free entry, good plaquards inside with a variety of different exhibits to find something you enjoy

The National Museum of Art and History of Ireland is the largest comprehensive museum in Ireland. It has a rich collection and a comprehensive exhibition is a good way to understand Irish history and culture. There are also many collections from the Far East such as China in the Asian region.
