The church that matches the surroundings is cute!
Original Text
The impression is that the German embassy is lined up and stands in a balanced slope in the middle of Nanbuzaka. Originally, it has a history of being active as the Japan Christian Church, and it seems that it became the current Japan Christian Church in 1941. Moved to the current location in 1918, renovated and completed in 1996, the cute wooden 2 floor church is by the Grain Company Vories Architectural Office. The kindergarten is adjacent.
It faces Nanbuzaka along the south side of Arisugawanomiya Memorial Park. It's a small church and it's not very noticeable, but the trees in front of the building were decorated with modest lighting. It was cold, but it was a scene where I felt warm.
Do you know "Nanbuzaka Church"? It is a church next to the German Embassy facing Arisugawa Memorial Park. There is also an attached kindergarten. It is a simple and small church designed by Vories, and there is also Arisugawa Memorial Park on the north side across Nanbuzaka. The location is good with a natural environment, and the stone steps leading to the entrance are impressive with a blue door with a triangular arch that is less than 10 steps. The church illuminated by the sunlight through the trees by the angle of view creates a neat atmosphere with white walls ...
Initially, the Azabu Nanbuzaka Church started missionary work in Higashi Azabu, Minato-ku, and moved here in 1918. He is active as a Christian Church of Japan. The design of the building is nice in combination with the hall and the chapel.
It's not a big church, but I liked the simple and sober construction.

When I took a walk around Azabu, I found this Nanbuzaka church near the German Embassy. It's not a big church, but I liked the simple and sober construction. Perhaps it was a location, there were many foreigners around here, and there was an international atmosphere.

Illuminations.
