I request room near lift and near receptionist no corner room unfortunately I get room far from lift and receptionist and get corner room. Air bertakung di dalam bilik, jadi kurang selesa 😢

Booked for romantic tent, same like the ad. Looks like a brand new tent, because the colour is still white compared to the others which is already yellowish and got a bit mould. Romantic tent have no shade, so the light shines through into the tent. Even so, the tent doesn't feel hot, the portable aircond keeps it cool inside. asked for keetle from the receptionist. need to ask for keys for private bathroom as they are having renovation during our stay.

They do provide drinking water in bottles but do not have the refill centre. However, the location is really good. Will stay again in this hotel in the next visit to KK. Also, can hear vehicle sound in the night.

July 2024 TL;DR: This place feels more like a meditation centre than a hotel, it will not provide you with supplements. It's a bare room. You need to bring toothbrush&paste and buy drinks somewhere as it is not provided. No tv and fan. No in-house restaurant. There are mosquitoes at the garden near afternoon, and the balcony at night, but there are no insects in the room (family room). In exchange you will get a very clear and vivid Mt Kinabalu view in the near-dawn morning (where there is no mosquito), a working shower with heater, concrete floor that reduces nearby noise, and cold foggy experience. Long: This place is within the fog path so you will get the foggy experience. You can also see Mt. Kinabalu at the right time and it looks quite close (e.g. dawn 6 a.m.). You can even see the electric towers and resthouse, it's that close. Moreover, this place is more like a meditation centre than a hotel. It is visibly run down probably since covid as that is also when the in-house restaurant got closed down. Considering my experience as a recurrent visitor of Kundasang, mosquito has always been the least of my concern. Somehow this place has lots of them. We got bit quite a lot in a short span of time. Undesirable / Cons: -No water kettle, no supplements (water bottle, coffee pack, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.). Porcelain mugs are provided though -No in-house cafe/restaurant but nearby has a few (400 meters at least) -No tv, no fan but cold in general -Quite a lot of mosquito and moths outside at the garden place in the afternoon and at the balcony connecting the 2 buildings at night. There are no electric zapper. -Seems a bit run down at the garden. 2 broken board pieces on the floor for example. -It has no Qibla for muslim people, at least in family room Desirable / Pros: -Big room. Not smelly -Is cement board floor -Big single beds. Not smelly -Clean bed. Fluffy cover. -Water heater is working for family room at least -Relatively clean inside room and at reception. No insects in room. No weird bugs around. -Has a table and chairs in room -Lots of electrical port -Wifi provided by hotel is strong (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz -Very near main road. So good road going towards the hotel -Aki-Aki trail starting point is nearby. Plan to go next time so no experience as of this review This place is not too bad. Not too good either. Personally, I wouldn't place this as my top place for the foggy and view considering other options but I don't mind returning if necessary. It will sure be much much better to highly recommended with much needed renovation and have some methods to deal with those mosquito. p.s. There's a cute puppy that invites you at the entrance. 😂 p.s.s. I saw a greater coucal gliding into the forest in the morning!

Khách sạn nằm ở trung tâm phố ***a, cách sân bay 20 phút. Gần đó có các trung tâm mua sắm lớn và rất thuận tiện để ăn uống tại các nhà hàng nổi tiếng. Đây là lần thứ ba tôi ở lại. Khách sạn tuy hơi cũ nhưng trang thiết bị đầy đủ, nhân viên phục vụ có thái độ rất tốt, rất tiết kiệm chi phí và thuận tiện cho việc đi lại.

Nhìn chung, kỳ nghỉ khá ổn và đáp ứng được những kỳ vọng cơ bản. Các tiện nghi được cung cấp ở mức hợp lý so với giá cả, vì vậy không nên kỳ vọng quá nhiều. Tuy nhiên, vấn đề vệ sinh – đặc biệt là dưới gầm giường – cần được chú trọng hơn, vì khá bụi bẩn. Nếu việc dọn dẹp ở khu vực này được cải thiện, trải nghiệm sẽ tốt hơn. Tuy nhiên, với mức giá hợp lý và tiện nghi đầy đủ, kỳ nghỉ này có thể chấp nhận được.

It's a little out of town but I chose it for the close proximity to the beach and swimming ,which is about a 10min walk from the hotel. There are street food and drinks stalls available from about 3pm . Tanjung Aru beach is beautiful, uncrowded and the beach shelves away gently making it a safe swimming area. However, the beach had rubbish washed up and maintenance isn't a priority I guess. I swam everyday and didn't get sick ,that's a bonus. The room ( the whole place)was tired looking, it could do with a lick of paint and maintenance. Room was clean when I got there but I strongly doubt it was cleaned in the entire time I was there for five days. Often had to ask for toilet paper , shampoo and shower gel , and coffee sachets etc ,basics to be stocked whenever housekeeping does their cleaning. Air con worked for me although the settings couldn't be altered ! The bed springs creak and you feel the springs when you sit on the bed but I slept ok only because I was usually exhausted from the day's activities . The beds and mattresses definitely need renewing though. The fridge was mouldy and smelly , what a blooming shame : / The safe was broken - hallelujah! I kept my room door locked at all times only because Reception staff hardly looked up to see who comes and goes- they sit very low,almost out of view at their front desk. I wasn't convinced about their perception of safety especially as I'm a solo female traveller and I need to be alert and take great caution. Casuarina Hotel are you taking note? Reception is helpful but that depends who is present. Lifts work fine without too much of a wait. The cafe on ground level serves an American breakfast but I couldn't tell you whether that's worth your while. It looked like Mary Celeste everytime I peeped in there so wasn't convinced about getting fed or a service. Therefore, I had fruit and snacks as standby .. There's a lovely restaurant a few yards from the hotel called the Yolo Seafood Restaurant which tends to open from 11.30am- delicious and inexpensive with friendly staff. Grab taxi fare to city centre varies from MYR 7- 25 Ringgit ,the higher tariff if returning during commuter rush hours from city centre which is a 15- 25 min ride . Would I stay here again ? I would actually knowing all its idiosyncrasis compared to so many awful or simplly mediocre accommodation charging an arm and a leg , I think Casuarina is just ok . Value for money? I don't think so .

Bữa tối là bữa ăn ngon nhất trong ngày; chúng tôi mua tôm hùm Bajau và tôm tít, và nhà bếp đã chế biến chúng cho chúng tôi với giá 40 MYR, điều này đã làm cho bữa ăn của chúng tôi ngon hơn. Dịch vụ: Nhân viên lễ tân rất nhiệt tình và nói tiếng Anh tốt. Chúng tôi đã đặt một tour tham quan các đảo trong ngày từ biệt thự trên mặt nước của mình, không cần phải quay lại thị trấn; Họ đón chúng tôi trực tiếp từ 9:00-10:00 sáng và đưa chúng tôi trở lại biệt thự trên mặt nước lúc 3:00 chiều. Bạn có thể dễ dàng bị gai đâm nếu đi chân trần, và bề mặt dưới nước cũng có thể gây khó chịu cho bàn chân. Chàng trai ở phòng bên cạnh đã bị nhiều vết thương ở chân (một con nhím biển có rất nhiều gai).

Hotel Review Positive Points: 1. Air-conditioning was very effective and kept the room comfortable throughout the stay. 2. Great window view – beautiful sea and jetty scenery that adds to the relaxing atmosphere. (see my attached picture) 3. Excellent location – conveniently close to eateries and the jetty, making it easy to get around. 4. Reasonably priced in-house food – offers good value for money for guests who prefer to dine in. 5. Complimentary extra bottled water was provided upon request, which was appreciated. 6. Friendly and helpful staff across all departments – from housekeeping, café, and maintenance to the front desk. Everyone was courteous and attentive. 7. Special mention to the chef – a very kind and gentlemanly person. On our first day, we ordered 6 fried eggs for breakfast, assuming they were included. The chef initially didn’t inform us of the RM2 charge per egg and kindly did not charge us for them. When we later tried to order again, he politely informed us about the charge. We truly appreciated his honesty and kind gesture. 8. very nice grilled meat at the roof cafe (5th floor).The promo price is 5 sticks for rm9.9 . worth to eat! --- Areas for Improvement: 1. Limited breakfast buffet selection – mainly local dishes such as chicken, eggs, vegetables, rice, or noodles. While the food was tasty, there were no options like fresh milk, cereal, or egg station. Fruit choices were also limited to just bananas every day. 2. Window leakage during heavy rain – rainwater entered the room. However, the staff responded promptly and mopped the floor immediately. 3. No robe hooks in the bathroom – makes it inconvenient to hang clothes or towels. 4. Shortage of bath towels – clean towels were only available in the late afternoon after laundry was returned. 5. Extra blanket charge – an additional around rm50-60 was required if requesting one more blanket, which felt a bit expensive. 6. Low water pressure in the shower – the water flow was quite weak, making the shower experience less enjoyable. 7. Housekeeping quality needs improvement – there was sand in the room, and although we informed the staff, it was not cleaned properly even after the feedback. Extra Tip for Travellers: There’s no laundry shop in Semporna town, so do remember to bring enough clothes for your stay.

Giá thực sự rất rẻ. Sau khi đặt phòng, tôi lo lắng rằng mình sẽ không thể đặt được một vị trí có view đẹp và các con tôi sẽ thất vọng. Chủ của ngôi nhà nước này là người Trung Quốc. Anh ấy rất tốt bụng và đã giúp đỡ giải đáp đủ loại câu hỏi trước khi nhận phòng. Phòng sạch sẽ và thoải mái. Đó là một kỳ nghỉ tốt với mức giá này. Tôi nghĩ hiệu quả chi phí của phòng hướng biển vẫn tốt. Rốt cuộc, tôi đến đây để ngắm cảnh biển phòng và trải nghiệm nhà nước, bọn trẻ mong chờ đã lâu, con trai tôi hài lòng, tôi cũng hài lòng với lời khen hết lời!
