We traveled from Glasgow, taking the 900 bus from the city center directly to the zoo entrance. The return ticket costs only £10, which is more convenient than taking the train, as the train requires a bus transfer. The zoo tour takes about two hours, and it's quite exhausting due to its hilly terrain, especially near the panda enclosure. Personally, I found the zoo less impressive aside from the pandas. The tigers seemed underfed, and it's more suitable for those who haven't seen pandas and want some exercise. The zoo is also quite easy to get lost in! I was guided by my boyfriend the entire time, and if I were with my directionally challenged friend, we would definitely have gotten lost. The zoo features pandas, tigers, lions, penguins, giraffes, flamingos, kangaroos, zebras, and various monkeys, making it feel like a roll call of animals. As we were leaving, we were lucky to see a rainbow on a cloudy day, which disappeared after a minute. However, luck wasn't entirely on my side, as I got bird droppings on my sleeve just five minutes into the visit. Today, I visited the Scottish National Zoo in Edinburgh. The Indian rhinos are well cared for, and the Scottish wildcats are very cute. The last stop was the penguin area, which houses three types of penguins: Emperor, Gentoo, and Rockhopper. It seems the pandas returned to China at the end of last year, so don't visit just for them. Due to the cold winter weather, most animals were indoors, either eating or sleeping. I recommend visiting on a sunny day in spring or summer for a better experience. It's an absolutely amazing place went with some friends. the staff are extremely helpful and lovely would recommend it so much many fun facts to learn and things to do for kids. some really good Caffès littered around the park. and an extensive gift shop. I would definitely recommend taking a whole day as it's a relatively big place and maybe a map of the zoo if you haven't been before. It was lovely day in Edinburgh Zoo. The staffs are so nice when we bought the tickets. There were many kinds of animals in the zoo. Although the road is inclined, we still had a good time there. suggested time for visit is 4 hours. my fav part of is the penguins and the chimps.
