I was so delighted when I visited Jogja recently and had a chance to stop by this place called Fungkydak. The concept is really unique and something I've never encountered in other cities. Here they sell Chicken Waffles. The place itself has a unique American Diner concept. The indoor seating area is quite spacious, although the outdoor area is not as extensive. This is a must-visit place if you're in Jogja, starting from the ambiance to the quality of the products, it's really great! Chicken Waffles cost 50k. The portion is really large and can actually be shared. You get two waffles and 2 pieces of chicken, and you can mix the flavors like Nashville and Buttermilk, just as I did. The waffles are delicious and soft I recommend trying the Nashville Chicken because the seasoning is flavorful without being too spicy. I wasn't as fond of the Buttermilk one. Overall, it's really delicious Apple Tea Soda costs 15k. It's really delicious I've never had a drink like this before. If you're used to avoiding the traffic lights at the Besi intersection from the north, you'll be familiar with this road. The slightly secluded location creates a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere for enjoying coffee or working. I was quite surprised to see it almost full in the morning, especially the semi-outdoor area where everyone was busy with their gadgets. Unfortunately, at that time, the rice fields right next to Gimbo had not yet blossomed. However, this did not diminish the serene coffee experience at Gimbo, which has long been involved in the coffee business, highlighting South Sumatra coffee. Not only are Semendo coffee beans featured at the bar, but also Ranau beans—a lake tourism area in South Sumatra. Since it was still early, I ordered a warm filter coffee with Ranau coffee beans—specifically Ranau Pokat Gn. Rayo—which had a light and pleasant texture to sip slowly. If I’m not mistaken, Gimbo also offers milk coffee and snacks.
