The National Folk Museum of Korea is the only Korean national museum that still stores, displays and introduces folk cultural heritage. The museum was established in 1945, in Sejongno, Jongno-gu, Seoul (located inside Gyeongbukgung Palace), with the purpose of collecting, honoring, preserving and researching the traditional folk culture values of Korea.
Currently, the museum has accumulated 4,000 artifacts that are still kept for the purpose of recreating and reflecting the history of many ups and downs and the characteristics of religious culture in daily life, going from the past to the present of the Korean people .
