Khao Wang - a formal summer palace
Phra Nakhon Khiri, known locally as Khao Wang (Palace Hill), is a historical park in Phetchaburi, Thailand.
This park was built on the 92-meter high Khao Wang hill and includes two main places: King Rama's summer palace and Phra Nakhon Khiri national museum.
I took a 5-min electric tram to go to the top of the mountain to visit the park. Each tram row can sit 4-5 people. While taking the tram, I had a good view of the city.
Inside the palace, there are the living room, bedroom, bathroom and all the facilities that used by the king in the past. Unfortunately, photography is forbidden inside so I don't have any photos of those things.
After visiting the palace, I went outside to take photos of the view of the scenery below and I also saw many mischievous wild monkeys running around.
This place has many wild monkeys, so please pay attention to your belongings while walking around the park & don't get too close to the monkeys. Dress appropriately, cover your knees and shoulders when coming inside the palace & respect the 'no photography' sign.
Khao Wang is a nice place to visit if you love to learn about Thai history and see how their kings lived back in the past.
