Here's the list of cafes in Seoul that you should consider visiting, especially when you're short on time: Osulloc Tea House Osulloc Tea House is located in Bukchon Hanok Village. Inspired by traditional Korean architecture and aesthetics, the interior is cosy and inviting. We can stay here for the whole afternoon! We ordered their seasonal strawberry smoothie, premium tea and rice cake platter. The baked oolong green tea was delicious! It was baked/roasted to perfection - I couldn't taste any of the bitterness and astrigency that usually comes with tea. It was so good that I bought some back from their shop. The rice cake platter came with four varieties of rice cake. Each type of rice cake was accompanied by a sauce. The sauce varies from sweet to sour (with one that tasted like Thai sweet chilli sauce without the spice). The combination of rice cakes and dipping sauce was intriguing, but I don't think I can snack on this everyday as it can get too overwhelming (jelak). Is it worth the hype and queue? Maybe not. We didn't queue to get the inside seat as the line was very long and we were tired after half a day of walking around Gyeongbokgong. Fortunately, the queue to order was shorter and faster. We acted quickly to get the outdoor seat and got into the order queue fast. Their menu is quite limited as they only sell bread and drinks. I was initially hesitant to wait in line for just bread, but my sister insisted since we had travelled a long way. In the end, I did not regret it as their bread was amazing! We tried several varieties, and my personal favourite was the garlic bread, which had a delightful balance of sweet and savoury flavours from the garlic cream. We didn't realise how popular it was until our second visit. Their matcha espresso was so delicious that we went back three times in eight days. We didn't have the opportunity to try their desserts, but based on the quality of their beverages, we're confident that their sweets are just as good. The cafe has a futuristic and adorable theme throughout. We visited twice and ordered the same drinks - the vanilla bean and almond latte, which were amazing. Although I normally don't drink sweet lattes and prefer black coffee without sugar, my sister encouraged me to try something new and I'm glad I did, with no regrets. We waited in line for half an hour to get our toasts in the morning. While the toasts were delicious, I think they're somewhat overhyped. The ingredients are basic - bacon, eggs, veggies, and sauce. It's something that can easily be prepared at home. If the wait is longer than 30 minutes, I wouldn't bother queuing for it.
