#aprilblooms Located in Omihachiman City, Shiga Prefecture, Himure Hachimangu Shrine is a shrine with a history of about 1800 years. He has gathered faith as a guardian deity of the region that has benefitted from ward off bad luck and prosperous business. It is also the origin of the name of Omihachiman City, and it is a special existence for local people. When you walk through the 8.8-metre-high wooden torii gate, an elaborate and meticulously designed tower gate will jump into your eyes. Ahead of that is the main hall with an elegant appearance and a copper plate roof. The precincts are dotted with Noh stages and shrines that enshrine various gods, and there are plenty to see.
