Great Cajun food in New Orleans

One of the things to do in new Orleans is to indluge in their Cajun cuisine and unique dishes. Cochon came recommended by an old friend. And it's didn't disappoint us at all. Even to start with the beef pie totally set the standard. Thereafter every dish we tried was a winner. In my opinion this place is serving the best wood-fired oysters I’ve ever had. Since it was 6 of us we tried several mains and i remember porterhouse pork chops being nicely smoked. The drinks were all spot on. We tried the pineapple upside down cake with ice cream. This dessert was perfectly balanced.. warm cake almost bread pudding-like with the ice cream... not too sweet with the slightly tart pineapple. It was a real treat. All in all it made for a great experience.
