Sun, Sand and Serenity: My Dream Weekend in Formentera

This summer, I spent the most amazing weekend in Formentera and I can’t wait to share my experience! If you are looking for a getaway that combines stunning beaches, relaxation and delicious food, this is it! 🏨 I arrived on Friday afternoon at Riu La Mola, and I was immediately blown away by the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The hotel’s atmosphere is so welcoming and my room was perfect - spacious and with a gorgeous balcony where I could unwind. After a quick dip in the pool, I decided to explore the beach right outside the hotel. I kicked off the day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, then headed to Playa de Ses Illetes, one of the most famous beaches on the island. The turquoise waters were perfect for swimming and the beach was buzzing with energy. In the afternoon, I discovered Calo des Mort, a hidden gem that took my breath away. The cliffs surrounding the beach and the clear waters made it an ideal spot for some sunbathing and relaxation! #calodesmort 🌅 As the sun began to set, I made my way to Cap de Barbaria. The lighthouse offered panoramic views that were absolutely mesmerising. Definitely a highlight of the trip! #sunset #views #photography 🏄🏽♀️ On Sunday, I decided to rent a paddleboard and enjoyed gliding over the calm waters, taking in the stunning scenary from a different perspective. For lunch, I went to Chiringuito Bartolo, conveniently located right next to the hotel. The vibe was laid-back, and the fresh seafood was simple out of this world! I tried their grilled fish. #watersports #seafood I spend the rest of the afternoon lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun and reflecting on my amazing trip. Tips: - Book Early: Accommodations can fill up quickly, especially during the summer months. - Check Ferry Schedules: If you are travelling from Ibiza, be sure to check ferry schedules well in advance. - Rent a Motorbike: Is the most convenient way to get around the island. It allows you to explore some of the more remote beaches. - Stay Hydrated: The sun can be intense. Carry water with you to stay hydrated while you are exploring!
