We had the best stay at Elswhwere Hotel West Gate. The building is restored it the nicest way really gives you the feeling of timetravel. The people working in the hotel, were carrying and welcoming. They explained us how to navigate the city, helped us buy tickets for the city sights, recommend restaurants and we even got a room upgrade and lovely gifts to take home and remember our time in Pingyao. The bed was so comfortable and we had the best sleep. Can recommend this hotel full heartedly. Would definitely come back! Thank you Helen and Fenny for making our stay so memorable.

The Renyi is a wonderful hotel in a great location looking onto the City walls. We were greeted by the friendly and welcoming owner who showed us to our rooms. We were two independent travellers who decided to have a room each, and both rooms were superb. Mine looked onto the pretty courtyard while my friend’s faced the City walls, with each having a balcony with table and chairs. Both rooms were duplex with comfortable and spacious living areas and bathroom/showers downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. All areas were spotlessly clean and the bed was big and comfortable and I had a wonderful night sleep. Centre stage though is the gorgeous communal area which was adorned with beautiful plants and flowers, a small fish pond and even a peacock that gloriously but quietly strutted its stuff. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking around the ancient city with the major tourist attractions only minutes from the hotel’s door. The ancient city itself is stunning and delightful to walk around. We also took a trip to the nearby Yungang Grottoes which are breathtaking and a must see. We were both amazed by their beauty and historical significance to both Chinese and Buddhist cultures. There are also many great restaurants within walking distance of the Renyi, and the owners were very helpful and provided us with any advice we needed. As other reviewers have said the Renyi is a beautiful blend of historic and modern and I would highly recommended the hotel to anyone thinking of staying in DaTong.

This hotel was stunning. Located in the heart of the city. Very charming, it feels like going back in time. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Crystal at concierge was there for us all the time. Definitely recommended. Only down point: the hotel is very difficult to find. To keep a higher level of exclusivity there is not a single indication on the street. Took a while and some local help to manage.

自駕到古城，老闆娘給安排了古城牆下的停車場，20元一晚，客棧離西門停車場非常近，非常方便。客棧在古城步行街邊上，古典有特色，春節來院子裏大紅燈籠高高掛，十分喜慶，客棧十分適合旅拍，在客棧就能完成，期待旅拍的照片。老闆娘非常熱情❤️

Họ có bán ảnh du lịch trong cửa hàng. Lúc đặt phòng, tôi thấy có lẽ nhiếp ảnh gia chụp ảnh du lịch còn nghiệp dư, nhưng không ngờ cách trang điểm và tạo dáng lại rất tinh tế, nhiếp ảnh gia rất chuyên nghiệp, sau khi chụp ảnh có phòng chọn ảnh đặc biệt, trang phục cũng rất nhiều, tất cả đều được thêu rất nhiều. Đối với những phụ nữ trung niên như chúng tôi, điều này rất tiện lợi và ảnh chụp cũng rất đẹp. Mỗi bức ảnh đều là một tuyệt tác, thực sự là sự kết hợp tuyệt vời của cả hai thế giới!

Mọi thứ trông thần ảo và mang chúng tôi vào một bộ phim cổ kính Trung Quốc ở đây. Khách sạn được cải tạo đơn giản và có lẽ cũ của khách sạn đánh giá cao đặc trưng này, cung cấp một sự thoải mái đúng đắn. Sự tách biệt không phải là tốt nhất nhưng tôi sẽ không mong đợi nhiều Chúng tôi yêu cầu các nhà hàng của khách sạn và họ đã cho chúng tôi một phiếu cho một cái (chúng tôi đã đến đó, nó thực sự tốt).
