PPHS65Excellent service from the lady boss and the staff. From the time I contacted her, she sent me lots of information about getting to the guesthouse. More importantly, she followed up with me to ensure that I am on the right track to the guesthouse. This was very much appreciated as I had a flight delay and that messed up my original travel plan. The lady boss was very proactive in ensuring that I find my way to the guesthouse. The lady boss' daugther is very cute and adorable. She shared part of her orange with me and when I told her that I liked it, she went off and got one for me! Even wanted to help me with my luggage but a little difficult as she's only 8 years old.
The guesthouse is located on top of a small hill and lady boss will pick up guests at the bottom of the hill; actually, in my opinion, hardly needed as it's only 10 minutes or less walk up a gentle slope but she does the pickup as part of the service that they offer.
The room is very nice and clean. The toilet is western style and has a very nice touch - spot lights are installed on the toilet ceilings and when the nights are cold, you will really appreciate the warmth from these lights after coming out from your shower!
And finally, they will drive guests out to 2 of the best viewpoints for the Tianluokeng cluster at no additional charge.
CChrislichiangThe best hospital hotel in the old town areas. Everyday we’re going around the historical buildings and shopping around tea gardens. So many great places for going around just short walking distance. They are so warmly welcomed and friendly with people who stay in the hotel. We like the hotel and have opportunities for coming back to visit in the future.
TTài khoản kháchI only given an Honest opinion of our stay, let start with a positive note the staff was very friendly & helpful also very close to main hubs . Lucky I can speak Chinese otherwise I wouldn’t be able to get into our room due to code changed by the owner also if you can’t understand Chinese you won’t be able to find this place at all, I’d to ask 3 or 4 people to find this place because is situated inside an alley way for local residents it’s not a hotel it’s more like a Airbnb. We were given room no.2 on the ground floor which was reek with cigarette smells from receptionist area & people next door the room smells really bad from sewerage poor ventilation Very noisy neighbors talking loudly till late, the wall must be paper thin, our bed was really hard you can feel every spring , we believe it’s the base of the bed they were using by mistake because western bed came in 2 segments bottom a hard spring & top are soft without springs, we were so uncomfortable in that bed we couldn’t sleep the whole night also due to noise from nearby. The deco was ok in the room thanks God the aircon works well by the way there is NOT a single hook you can hang your clothes.
MMonsterOnVacaySpending a night at Changdi Inn, nestled in the heart of the historic Hongkeng Tulou Cluster, was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my Xiamen trip. The inn is located within a centuries old Hakka earthen building, and the moment you step inside, you will be instantly transported back in time.
The stay offers an immersive look into traditional Hakka culture and architecture, surrounded by thick earthen walls, wooden beams, and antique details that speak volumes of the past. What mak it extra special was meeting the friendly innkeeper, a 6th generation descendant of the family that built and preserved this Tulou. He shared stories and local insights making the whole experience even more meaningful.
The room was simple yet clean and comfortable, blending rustic charm with basic modern comforts. I got to enjoy authentic Hakka meals, lovingly prepared and bursting with homestyle flavor, perfect after a day of exploring.
Waking up in the peaceful village setting, watching the locals go about their daily lives, and hearing the birds chirping outside, it's a rare, soulful escape from the city.
TTài khoản kháchI stayed three nights at this wonderful guest house, which is situated in a very quiet, peaceful and scenic part of Gulangyu, at almost the highest point, where you could see a gorgeous view of the harbour, the town and the lush green gardens below. I was fortunate to be upgraded to a better, room, presumably because the guest-house was quiet, despite it being Golden Week. The room, the furnishings, the bathroom and the scenic view certainly made it a restful experience. However, the breakfast, while extremely healthy and standard for locals, did not seem to quite fit with the rest of the experience. In particular, I was surprised not to be offered anything to drink at all - not even water or tea. However, the staff were ready to offer bottled water at any time. But on this note, if I could make a suggestion, it would be preferable to install large water container in the lobby, so that guests could use refillable water bottles rather than creating a lot of unnecessary plastic bottles. Despite these small issues, I would certainly recommend the place and stay again though for the serene, historic location.
