Yangshuo Sudder Street Guesthouse

Spent about three months living in hostels in China and this one has been one of the best. The staff is really welcoming and trying to help you have a nice stay. Do ask them, and in particular Marco, about recommendations for places to eat and visit. There are farming lands at the back of the hostel and it’s really relaxing to just sit there for a while during the day or watch the sunrise in the morning. You can do your laundry for free using one of the many laundry machines on the rooftop and there is plenty of space to hang your clothes to dry. The hostel is in walking distance (15 minutes) to West street and along this road there are plenty of restaurants and shops. The best way however is to simply rent an electric scooter from the hostel and use it to explore the town and it’s surroundings. The vibe is really nice which makes it easy to make new friends and enjoy the time there together.

This was a super nice hostel with an amazing view and a pool! The staff were super friendly and we had some great chats about music. It's a nice location just outside of the busy part of town but easy to walk/cycle or motorcycle into the main town. The had a really nice variety of games including uno and table football. The beds were very comfy and amenities were good.

Clean beautiful place. Loved the cozy fireplace and the amazing view from my room as I came during a cold and rainy time m. This place is a bit outside of town, but with a bicycle or electric scooter (which you can rent directly from the reception), you are in central Yangshuo within 5 minutes.

This is my favorite place to stay, I come to yangshuo like 3 times a year and I don’t like to stay anywhere else. It’s a perfect location-super central, very clean, necessities covered, and very comfortable. They have bike and scooter rentals, and if they’re sold out they will help you get a bike dropped off. The pool is so fun and highly recommend a cheeky night swim. 10/10 see you next time. Recommend for friends or solo ~

Loved this place! Best Hostel I‘ve been so far in China. Perfect distance to yangshuo center, your very close but still have you peace at night. And the best thing we’re the people working there! Very kind and helpful in any regard. Would definitly come again!

Really great staff who were very helpful and gave good advice. It’s about 5 mins taxi from town so a little quieter at night. Great view from the balcony. We could Hire E bikes which was great for adventure

Hostel was ideal. Chic rooms, nice pool, great views, laundry facilities on the roof. I do recommend for anyone staying here to rent a scooter so that transport to and from is effortless. Bonus is the road leading to the hostel is packed with good local places to eat. Not too touristy

I loved this place! The location is about a 15 minute walk from West Street. It's a little bit out of the way of the main tourist attractions, but that means it is quieter and more authentic than any lodgings in the middle of town. There are views of mountains on both sides. I liked that the pool wasn't chlorinated, and all 3 times I went for a swim I had it to myself! The room was spartan but clean. Most importantly, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked!! The best part was the service. The front desk guys could speak English and helped me out in so many ways! One night there was an unexpected power outage, and they were proactive in finding us alternate lodging and a refund for the night. Overall I would highly recommend Sudder Street for a comfortable and affordable stay in Yangshuo.
