The Windermere Hotel is very close to Windermere railway station, this is an old building but the interiors are very well-maintained. I booked a single ensuit room, very comfortable.

Basic but clean hotel. Check in and parking were great breakfast was really tasty and all allergens were displayed and we also were able to get gluten free toast. Location was great at the top of Windamere hill 30 minute walk into bowness. Residents bar wasn't open and the bar next door Orrests head was freezing. We came back up to the hotel in the night hoping to get a drink but the bar had closed earlier than the time advertised which was disappointing as there was no where else to get a drink.

Very pleasant stay, friendly staff. Excellent location. Clean room but in need of a little maintenance & refresh.

Location was just across the station. Food was really good. The service was friendly and accommodating

Very clean and nice room. Had a nice view of the lake too. Will recommend and come back again!

The hotel is an old and classic one. The reception is a bit small but with good services. Tidy rooms and good view of the town (photo attached).

The room is quite old but not bad just some problems. The shower water is not hot enough, the toilet button is hard to flush. Good location close to station

the furnitures are old and the room have mouldy smell.

The location is very convenient. It is within a five-minute walk from the railway station. Except for the small elevator, the hotel is very good.

Train is cancelled, and the train is off the track. no train will depart from Edinburgh to Windmere. Trip.com refused to cancel the booking fee. Complaint!

The hotel is in a great location for exploring the Windemere and Bowness area. The facilities were excellent we particularly enjoyed the power shower in the morning and after a long walk in the country, just what we needed to get us refreshed and ready to go again. The bed was also very comfortable meaning we got a solid nights sleep. The breakfast was fantastic, well cooked and plenty of it, the coffee was also very good. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for them. This was our second stay at The Windermere Hotel and we requested the same room with the same fantastic view, which they were able to accommodate . We will definitely be back.

Hotel overall was lovely, staff was lovely, rooms could do with a bit of updating and room was quiet damp of mould in certain places, sink took a little time to empty, shower was lovely, a throw away from the train station and about 15 min walk to Windermere lake

This hotel has a great location, and you can get to the town centre by walk. It is suitable for family stays as well.
