Didn't book this hotel but was moved here when original hotel had an "issue" hours before check in. As a party of 5 we had booked 3 rooms else where. 2 doubles and a single and was moved here to one room with 4 beds ( one double & 3 single) . This was unacceptable . So after a bit of a discussion was also offered a flatlet elsewhere for 3! So 2 of us stayed in a small room with 4 beds. Which was,if cramped, clean and offered free bottled water & tea/coffe making facilities with biscuits. The breakfast was fresh hot and plentiful Overall can't fault the staff here, from the jolly receptionist to the pleasant young lady at breakfast. I would stay here again but maybe with a more suitable room for only two of us.

Stayed here for 2 nights in July. Booked it 2 weeks beforehand as it was the cheapest available hotel with an en-suite. Was slightly worried when I read some of the reviews however we were pleasantly surprised! We were given a sea view room, the room was comfortable and clean, beds made daily and bottles of water, tea/coffee/hot choc and biscuits in the room. Clean ensuite with double shower. Breakfast was lovely, I can see how some people might find it not very warm if they came down for it a bit later but we came down just after 7.30am and it was spot on. Lovely friendly staff, we would definitely stay here again. I think people leaving poor reviews are forgetting this is a budget hotel at a budget price, and for the price we paid it was excellent.

Stayed here in February and it’s always served a lovely breakfast but this time different people were cooking it and tbh it was quality ingredients but was stone cold eggs were overcooked and should not have been served up at all they were like rubber it’s not what I paid for.tomatoes,and bean were cold plus some of the food was from day before they need to get decent cooks who know what they are doing?THIS FOOD SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SERVED LIKE THIS.we have stayed here on several occasions and always rated the breakfast as tasty and hot and well cooked.Will definitely not be returning to the hotel and certainly don’t recommend.

Lovely welcome in reception when we turned up and asked for a room for the night. We had a lovely room. Was told breakfast was downstairs in the morning. But when we went down in the morning .No breakfast. No one to be seen. Only other guests. They told us that we had to go to another hotel to have breakfast. It would have been nice to be told when we booked the room. We would still stay again though as we loved it otherwise. Just please be up front about the breakfast.

My partner didn't even attend this hotel. Had a bereavement on the day she was due to attend and tried to sort it through ******* and the hotel. Obviously at 11am on the first day she was willing to accept payment for the first day and was hoping for a refund of the following two days. Both ******* and Mr Davies let it expire before confirming no refund. If this is their outlook on life? Money money money $$$$. What kind of service could we really expect. Avoid at all costs. You'll have a lucky escape

I was dreading staying here on the night of storm Isha and a six hour drive from Cornwall. So many terrible reviews and 5 nights to go. The hotel is very clean. My room is warm, comfortable and nicely decorated. Lots of tea, milk, coffe and biscuits. The buffet breakfast is delicious. So far, I’ve had 4 nights of quiet and restful sleep. I don’t have a sea view, but I’m fine with that; if I want to look at the sea, it’s right there outside the door. I had a small issue with the heating and it was immediately dealt with. How come so many people have to write horrible reviews? I would stay here again with pleasure.

Was told we had to walk 3 blocks away to another hotel for breakfast didn't say that on website ! That should of been said when booking as we would of gone somewhere else where you can have breakfast without a long bloody walk !

where to start? Free parking, well only if you can find space on the front between 6pm and 9am which we couldn't. Room was not very clean, paint peeling off damp wall, window sill filthy, lots of dust, yellow water in toilet, obviously been used and not flushed before we booked in,cleaning fluid on outside of toilet, half filled/used toiletries. Lift not working. Walls very thin! No one on reception to book us out so left keys alongside other people's keys. On the plus side the breakfast was nice.
