A great hotel complex. Reception staff were SO helpful, above and beyond! Friendly and can communicate very well in English. A lovely walk to the marina from the hotel, takes a good 25-30mins though. This is fine but with young children it can take double the time 🤣, so, we hired bikes. The reception staff sorted this for us. It was a great bike rental company. Choice of three swimming pools but all are not heated. I’m a swimmer, after about 20 lengths I just got colder and colder. But fine for a cool down dip. My six and four year old did get in for a few minutes. They open late, 10am. I like to swim from 7.30/8am. So, if you’re after an early morning swim head for the sea. We had a massive apartment, it was fantastic. All necessities for self catering. Our apartment was clean, however, day two the cleaners were at our door around 3pm on our return from a day out. So, we told them not to bother to clean our room so that we could go into it. They did leave us more loo roll and towels. So, our apartment wasn’t cleaned throughout our five night stay, but where our apartment was so spacious it felt clean and tidy anyhow. Supermarket serves fresh rolls every morning and has a fair selection. Tasty fruit. There needs to be more child friendly facilities, like a play park, but the Portuguese don’t seem to have them like we do in England. Overall, it’s a basic hotel, but clean, pleasant and friendly staff.

My daughter and I, have just returned from an 8 day stay at this hotel on a half board basis. It is exactly as described. Yes, the apartments are dated (the photos on the Jet2 website are what you get), however, they are spacious, loads of storage - hanging rail, chests of drawers - and really well equipped. If you were staying self catering it has all that you need. Cleaning was meticulous throughout - the apartments and the public areas. The staff are amazing! From reception to the dining area, nothing was too much trouble. Special shout out to Julie and Marko. Yes, it's location is more residential, with not too much going on around it, but we found that the supermarket had everything we needed, and an Uber to the marina was only 5 Euro, or you could get the free shuttle bus. We did in fact walk down a couple of times - all on the flat and it took about half an hour. Drinks at the hotel were reasonably priced - 2 glasses of wine for 5 euro 40 cents, is a steal! Breakfast was adequate and self service, but the evening meal was served to you - 3 choices for each course - we always found something we wanted to eat and the quality and quantity were good. At a cost of £1600 for our 8 night stay, this was excellent value for money. You would easily pay double that if you were staying around the marina. This hotel does not pretend to be something it's not - the description you read when booking is exactly what you get. For a chilled out break - no sunbed wars for instance - I would certainly return!

We booked a week away on the spur of the moment and had a fantastic time. The apartment was spotless and well furnished with very comfortable bedding and nice towels. Everything one needed for self-catering was available from new pots and pans to a new cooker, table and chairs. I could not fault Parque Matabele Oasis, Vilamoura. We wanted for nothing in this apartment. Excellent value for money. Plenty of sun beds and a great pool bar which served a large verity of drinks and good food and provided good entertainment. The complex is close to a number of restaurants and bars and a handy supermarket with produce very reasonably priced. We can’t wait go go back next year!

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, in the yellow block of apartments crossing the street (so, it's not the one in the picture with the swimming pool). The apartment was very clean, very (very) spacious, and had everything we needed. The furniture is a bit outdated, but everything was in good condition. Towels, soad, shampoo, kitchen apliances, ... we didn't miss anything. With all the positive aspects, this place makes it an excellent budget stay.

These apartments are lovely stayed here for a week 25 minute walk from marina the food in the restaurant was lovely ate in there most nights very reasonably priced the staff were lovely couldn't fault this place would definitely stay again 5 stars all day long 😀 ❤️

Absolutely love this place. It’s a very family friendly quiet and easy place to stay. We have been twice and booked for our third year. Our children love it too. The pool is never overcrowded and always clean , always plenty of sun beds. Our apartment has always been clean and had everything we needed. The marina is a quick and cheap Uber away which is a stunning place with lots of amazing restaurants (News Is our favourite) The staff are great, the entertainment is just right. The food is cheap and cheerful, with a good selection. We cannot fault this hotel, if you’re looking to be somewhere quiet, not full of drunken English louts then it’s ideal. Even the locals come here for their holidays! See you again in a few weeks

Hotel staff very friendly. Hotel looked nicer on the pool side block, however we were in the block over the road with no view only the bypass road. Appts are average for superior. Blankets on beds arent ideal. No outdoor seating area at the bar or pool to relax unless you wanted to.lie on sunlounger by pool. They says 3 pools....1 is in the hotel which was fine, the other 2 located down road in another hotel which was awful. Supermarket next door was shocking with very limited stock. All in all enjoyed the holiday but hotel too far out of the way for amenities with nothing close by. If you want to explore use UBERS very cheap.

We made the best of our stay here. Our apartment in the oasis village block was incredibly tired in places. There was quite a bit of mould in bathroom and bedroom. Plus side is the kitchen was decent with a good cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and kettle. Plenty of pots and pans, utensils, etc. The housekeeping wasn't regular enough, came late afternoon on day 3 by which time we had ran out of toilet roll. Reported a leak from shower tray but no repair carried out, so had to keep using towels to stop water running across the tiled floor. The pool area was OK, but sunbeds are tired. Food and drink at the restaurant was good for the price. You can walk into the marina in around 30mins or they offer a free shuttle periodically in the day. GRACE'S RESTAURANT nearby is fantastic! Unfortunately, we wouldn't return to this complex.

Apartments not great , dusty not very clean hairs in the plug hole in the bath Towels not changed on a daily basis when l asked for clean towels I got a very hostile reply . Will certainly not be returning Overall experience not the best never a 3 star resort

I would give this place 4 out of 5 stars. Very Clean. Friendly staff. Only 20 minute walk to the Marina which was quite enjoyable. Pool area lovely. Free shuttle bus 3 times a time. Uber very cheap too, less that 5 euro. Only fault was the blankets on the beds we didn't like the feel of them,but that was us. Will definitely go back to stay.

I would not return here again!! Definitely would not recommend! The guy on reception - edwardo very very rude, states he wants to “please the guests” but didn’t seem to want to help at all! The lifts are always broken, we were on the third floor - having to climb 6 flights of stairs up and down all day is annoying! We stayed in a room with neighbours who had barking dogs, who don’t stop barking, they were left for hours on end! Barking till at least midnight most nights leaving us with little sleep, complained to reception who didn’t seem to care! Not worth the money or time to visit!!

My wife and I have just returned from a lovely relaxing stay at the Parque Mourabel, yes, as others have said, it is out of the way but they do run a courtesy bus, and if you enjoy walking it’s not a problem, also being out of the town means it is quiet with no late night revellers. We had a superior one bedroom apartment which we couldn’t fault, it was immaculate, well equipped, with a large balcony overlooking the pool. We were booked on a half board basis and yet again we had no complaints, breakfast was limited but freshly cooked to order which was a bonus from buffet breakfasts in most other places, evening dinner again limited but we always found something to our liking, and the portions were huge ( think the chef could do with a lesson in portion control 😋) . We must mention the incredible waiting staff, so friendly and helpful, along with many laughs, they all couldn’t do enough to make you feel more welcome. Check in and check out were straightforward and helpful tips given for our stay. All in all we enjoyed our visit and would have no hesitation in returning, for the cost it was very good, those who disagree should perhaps go to the Hilton or similiar and pay a lot more.

Just returned from this hotel !!! Unfortunately it’s in a residential area and there’s not much there other than graces restaurant which is fabulous five min walk , and a very good supermarket over the road ! The apartments are very well equipped if you want to use the kitchen , the bedroom are quite dark always need a light on ! We didn’t find the staff very friendly on check in or check out the man didn’t even acknowledge I had checked out quite rude! The two young guys in the breakfast room where very polite Breakfast very basic but you could eat ! I don’t think I would recommend this hotel or even go back !! Also sort out the terrible smell of cat wee in the entrance from the large cat who lives there not good welcome neither!!!!!

We booked a two bedroom upgraded apartment as we were travelling as a couple with our daughter and granddaughter so we didn't want to be making beds up every night in the sitting room. We were in the oasis block, so no balcony but a grassy area at the front with a table and chairs. We were advised that the apartment had been recently refurbished and it was clean and freshly painted. A bit too freshly painted as there was a strong paint smell. After a couple of days leaving the windows open it did die down. Although initially the upgraded apartment looked great there were some neglected areas that could easily be rectified. Cupboard doors that didn't sit straight and didn't shut properly. Shower screen didn't quite manage to stay shut meaning water sprayed through. A front door that was a bit swollen and difficult to shut. The sitting room has two sofas that are actually single beds with mattresses and a back to lean cushions against. Good for extra guests but way too wide to sit on comfortably. The apartment was laid out over two floors, with the two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs with a shower over the bath. Downstairs was the sitting room, dining area and large kitchen, a further bathroom with a walk in shower. Stairs look beautiful and are marble but be careful if you are wearing socks. Lots of storage space. Kitchen equipped with full oven and hob, fridge freezer and a lot of kitchen equipment. The oven was a bit hot, we put a pizza in the oven that should have taken around 10 mins and after 6 mins it was charcoal. Beds were not the comfiest I have encountered but not as bad as some hotels. We also had a couple of days where we didn't open the windows as the weather was quite wet and cool. Our clothes and bedding started getting damp so we would recommend opening the windows upstairs every day for a while. The air-conditioning also does heating which came in useful on cool mornings and evenings. We didn't use the hotel restaurant so cannot comment on food. Also we didn't get chance to use the pools due to the weather. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back here. It was very good value for money. It is a little bit out of the way if you enjoy the beach and the harbour but we hired a car and explored a lot of different areas. Plenty of parking including gated areas for the block.
