Gully Ghar

Lovely place, very nice and attentive owner l. It’s small place but with big heart. Breakfast was all quite good ( egg, porridge, yogurt, chai) ***y more and get to enjoy on the rooftop. It’s located in small alley so not so noisy, easy to find in good map..

This is neat and clean boutique homestay in varanasi near to famous AssiGhat though bit off the main road.The behaviour of staff and owner and service is amazing.We checked in late night with 2 year old child but they guided us well to reach the property and arranged boiled milk and bananas and Noodles at late hours of night.Special thanks to Pandey ji(Sweet old ***). Breakfast was delicious and well served .You won't get buffet but they will serve as you will order.A nice place for short stay at varanasi.

The place is nice and clean at Assi ghat, the host Saurabh is providing all the facilities including travel and tour inside and outside the city which is quite relaxing. They have beautiful rooftop place hangout where you can meet ppl from different part of the world.

Best stay in India so far! owners, are the best. They helped with everything we needed, and made our stay great fun. Location is great 2 min walking from the Ghats they were very friendly and helpful they help us with Boat trips, currency exchange and transport all on offer and no trouble to organise. breakfast were outstanding and they Surve on the roof top each morning.. so must try this place..

First trip to Kashi was amazing and awakening, the trip felt even more comfortable staying at Gullyghar Guest House. I m overwhelmed by the friendly coutersy of Saurabh and his Team. It was like staying with family. Neat and affordable rooms. Clean beds and room service and an always smiling and assisting saurabh. An easy chilled out PG with equally chilled out surroundings. Best part about the PG is that it is just over 300mtrs from Assi Ghat, and every other eateries and Chai corners and very nice cafes. Had a great vacation staying at your place brother. Best was the terrace and the evening lights. Enjoyed each and every bit of the stay here. And definitely I will come back when ever I come back to varanasi.. thank you for everything..

Recently had our stay at Gullyghar guest house for our Varanasi trip. It was Very Comfortable staying there.. Mr Saurabh was very helpful in guiding us to the places near by and he was supper supportive. We would recommend this place to stay as it had all facilities nearby, hospital, supermarket, hotels, restaurants, most importantly it is walkable from Assi Ghat which is popular for Subahe Baranas , Ganga Arati that takes place by evening over the ghats. Thanks to Mr saurabh for making our stay comfortable.

This hotel has been portrayed as something it isn't. It is extremely basic, with poor facilities. A family member got ill here. There is no proper place to sit, the AC was not working in one room and it was not clean. There were soiled underpants haning on one of the door handles. There were dirty towels provided. I would definitely not recommend. We had to leave.

We were booked to stay at Gully Ghar for three nights and I communicated through email and WhatsApp with the person I thought was the ***ager right up until the night before our arrival. However, when we arrived late at night, we were told there were no rooms available with a very odd story about the website designer making the booking and communicating with me without the knowledge of the ***ager! He was very apologetic and took us to a friend’s accommodation instead. This place was totally unsuitable and so we had to find somewhere else to stay at gone midnight! The ‘helpful’ ***ager sent us some must-see sights and restaurants via WhatsApp and it was only later that I realised that this was from the same number as the so-called website designer. We felt scammed and it actually ruined our experience of Varanasi.

My Varanasi trip was one of the best of my life, and staying in this lovely hotel really made the difference. The whole staff is always open to help, and Saurabh (the owner) is a very very kind person, one of the best I have meet in the country. This guest house’s location is perfect: Assi Ghat is close by, so you will be able to enjoy the morning and evening ceremonies without much effort; Main ghat (city centre) is in a walkable distance; and for every place you are willing to visit you will receive good recommendations from Saurabh. I highly recommend this hotel, I would definitely come back. 10/10.
