With nature comes wildlife, from coyotes, owls, elk, deer, javelina, hawks, jack rabbits, and bobcats to the smaller critters like, birds, mice, snakes, desert gophers, ground squirrels, salamanders, and depending on the time of year, some bugs (butterflies, moths, crickets, grasshoppers, flies, spiders, ants), you never know what might be foraging by. No need to fear, the desert and mountains are their homes first and ours second, and they make the desert magic come to life. That said, although we do our very best to keep our home pest free with regular pest control, there are times when some wildlife/critters will come inside (usually spiders/flies/moths), we usually find them by the windows and doors trying to figure out why there's light in the otherwise pitch black desert at night. Try to keep windows and doors closed, especially at night when the lights are on, to prevent them coming in for a visit. Enjoy and embrace the desert life!! Guest Access: Guests have access to the entire property and the outdoor deck space directly in front of the house connected by the walkway. Only minutes away from a gas station and restaurants. Access will include two separate bedrooms, two private bathrooms, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, and smart TV. Due to our remoteness, our night skies offer world-class stargazing. This location is superb for getting the most out of your Grand Canyon experience, being right in the middle of the action of the Grand Canyon, Bearizona, and the Sky Walk. 1 car parking area. Please come and go as you wish. The front door is a smart lock and need a 4 digit code to get in, guest will receive code once they book the room. We have people who live on site or close to it, to help the guest in any way. You will be close to all the action, but in an incredibly relaxing and private escape. There are other houses and campers in the area, as well as street lights and security cameras. There is an airport and a park shuttle service in Tusayan, AZ, 20 miles away. Uber and Lyft are offered inside Grand Canyon National Park. The location is in between the city of Williams, AZ, and the Grand Canyon South Rim. Although we use Williams’ zip code and city name in our address, our location is not inside the city of Williams, but it is 30 miles away from it. Please check the address with your GPS before driving to the location. From Highway 64 you will turn down a DIRT road called East Woodland Ranch Road. During winter months, it does snow, but most of the time the road is still drivable, even in cars. It’s located inside a mobile home park that has streetlights and is fenced in, but the area around the mobile home park is desolate and old. However, with it being so isolated, star gazing is highly recommended while you stay with us. There is a gas station 5 miles from the location that sells small amounts of produce and snacks. We do not have kitchens, but we suggest bringing food with you because there aren’t many options nearby besides the gas station and small restaurant 5 miles away from the property. We have charcoal BBQ pits, gazebos, and picnic tables around the property for guests to use. If there are any problems with the room, please message me through the booking platform, as it’s the fastest way to receive a response.
