What can I say. Absolutely loved the time here. Accommodation is good rooms clean and everyone has a balcony. Lots of amenities within the complex. Easy stroll to the beach. Food is plentiful and freshly cooked. The staff are welcoming and very friendly. I recommend a trip here and sure you will enjoy. Thankyou to everyone

What a beautiful setting. I can honestly say we had a wonderful time. The food was lovely and there was plenty for the whole family. I will return and I don't say that about all my holidays! For improvement The drinks. Awful cola and the cocktails so weak and lacking flavour It was such a let down when compared to the food. We bought coke to have vodka, rum later in the day. The queues. The food was wonderful but the waiting was quite awful. Such a shame really as the staff work very hard. The hotel is dated but well cared for and very comfy mattress . Pillow a bit rubbish.

We are still here and wanted to write a review while it was fresh in our heads. We are British, and a family of 4 (kids aged 10 and 14). It was about an hour and 15 mins or so to the resort from Pula airport. Check in was great- the staff speak SO many languages I was in awe. We booked an interconnecting room (212 and 213) and they were ideal for our family. The rooms are kept really clean and are cleaned daily. There is a relaxed pool as well as a fun pool with a slide so something for everyone. For the first time in my life I witnessed highly attentive pool staff remove towels from sun loungers that weren’t being used! First they put a letter on the sun loungers then about half hour later I saw the pool staff remove the towels. How refreshing to see! The restaurant was enormous. We went in the school summer holidays so the hotel was full to capacity. The food range is absolutely huge. Food is cooked right in front of you such as meats, pastas, pizzas and fish. As this hotel does not have many British customers, naturally they cater for a much diverse range of preferences(in the car park it was mainly Austrian, German, Italian, Slovenian Swiss, Czech, and Hungarian cars). This is no criticism at all, in fact becuase it was so diverse in the way Valamar has to cater for type of visitor it meant we tried all sorts of food (although my 10 year old is quite fussy so basically stuck to pizza and chips and cucumbers oh dear!) but we had all types of fish, meat, salads, risottos, weird and wonderful European dishes) So if you’re expecting a full English breakfast, pies etc you won’t get a decent one here. Nor will you get sandwiches or a cup of tea after breakfast time so you’ll just have to go with the flow! The location of Tamaris itself is quite isolated, it’s like its own village really and there aren’t really any towns, villages or marinas to walk to. That said there is lots to do, free cycle hire, a little land train service that takes you around Lanterna and some of the other resorts, there’s an inflatable obstacle course and a games area with PlayStations and Xboxes. The beach area is lovely, the lobby area with all the drinks is lovely. The staff are professional, helpful, and keep the place so clean. We were very impressed. We had THE BEST first time in Croatia.

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful Croatian resort but such a disappointing hotel for one pretending to be Four Star: No drinks making facilities in rooms No early swim as small pool does not open until 11am Main pool and children pool is closed until June as weather not hot enough (but it is for the small pool????). This is not in the brochure! Local cola is appalling taste so have to buy bottles of Pepsi at €2.50 each Hot drinks machine in foyer does not vend hot water and is switched off until mid morning Restaurant only open for fixed times, and does not open until 7pm which makes life difficult for those with young children Cot was pre-booked but not supplied. Requested one, which was delivered, but at a cost of £5 a night The hotel is geared up for German tourists. So, the television does not have any English channels apart from Sky News and CNN. The lunch and evening food menu is excellent. The breakfast menu is not. Their take on a “Full English Breakfast” is not to standard. All rooms are advertised as “superior” but they are not! Our sink tap was falling off and our friend’s “limited sea view” only gives them a glimpse of the water if the wind blows some branches to reveal a tiny gap. Will not be returning!

Absolutely gorgeous resort and hotel, brilliant grounds in a very green woody peninsula, almost like Croatian Centre Parks. Food is fantastic, and drinks are typical all inclusive offerings, but I would not go back to this hotel. Unfortunately we went for 2 weeks mid September, unaware that this is the end of the season. Restaurants, bars, tourist train and water taxi had all closed early so there really wasn’t much to do at all. It’s a very remote resort so there wasn’t anywhere to go of an evening other than sit in the lobby bar, which can get very tedious after a few nights, especially as there aren’t many other UK guests, it is predominantly German tourists. The 2 water parks locally had closed early for the season on 12th September so weren’t able to visit those which we had been looking forward to. The excursions advertised as available from the hotel weren’t able to be booked, as due to the remote location the travel agency have to book taxis for guests to get them to the pick up location but will only do this if there are more than 6 people booked onto the trip, so we missed out on activities we had looked forward to all year. The local town of Novigrad is a 35euro one way taxi so not feasible to visit often further limiting options of what to do. Don't get me wrong, if you want a lovely relaxing holiday where you chill by the pool all day and get an early night, or are happy to sit on the same bland bar every night then you will love it, but for a younger couple who like to enjoy the evenings as much as the days it really wasn’t for us. I feel TUI should make this clearer on their site so people can make a more informed choice.

The hotel is very very basic. I have never been on an all inclusive holiday that excludes so much of the basics. Including water. Or should that be excluding water. The restaurant is open to the enormous campsite that surrounds the hotel. So the 300 seat restaurant tries to accommodate 2000 people. Very long queues for the food and then to find a table to eat from. Croatia is beautiful and there are much better hotels that cater for their guests and provide a genuine all inclusive holiday. Avoid at all costs. The only accessible toilets is down two steps and then has no lock on the door. And it’s in the women’s toilets. We would never stay in another Valamar hotel even it is was free.

The resort is big but no shops or bars outside, our room was small, food not bad but seemed cold a lot of the times and abit of a nightmare with people queuing when you only wanted to look what the food was. Not much entertainment could of done with more, we had some heavy rain which caused leaks in parts of the roof
