If you’re coming to pachu Picchu, stay here. No long bus journeys before your hike. Just sign in and explore. The people are welcoming and wonderful. The food is delicious and we wish we were staying longer. Recommend a guide early in the morning as it gets very hot later on. Restaurant is great.

Mr John Pizarro helped me to get Machu Picchu. I was lost and didn't know what to do. Without his help I couldn't get Machu Picchu the same day. He took care me even after the Machu Picchu trip. I was deeply impressed his helpfullness. We'll done, John! Thanks alot.

Our stay at Sanctuary Lodge was nothing short of fantastic. The entire experience was filled with “surprise and delight” moments and we were well attended to throughout our stay. The price is steep, and for us it was definitely a “splurge,” but my advice to those who can afford to stay here without going into debt is to DO IT. The food is amazing, service is phenomenal, the rooms had many special touches that I won’t list so as to not ruin any surprises. We also appreciated the ease of visiting Machu Picchu twice in two days with very little logistics. You have to stay here. Peru in itself is the trip of a lifetime and this hotel will add to your memories.

An all-inclusive hotel with stars-away access to the historic Machu Picchu site entry gates. The moment you disembark from the train you can freshen up in the Belmont lounge. Then travel by public bus to the Sanctuary (entrance is shared with the historic site.) Despite the small reception desk there are plenty of friendly and efficient staff who usher you into the restaurant with a refreshing drink where they check you in at your leisure. There are just 31 rooms occupying the entire top floor, which also has a lovely terrace with lounge chairs. The rooms are compact yet comfortable. Everything in the minibar and all meals are included. There was a Pisco tasting later in the evening. A delightful surprise was the “pillow menu” featuring a selection of pillows delivered to your room (tummy sleeper, side sleeper etc) The lunch and dinner food was absolutely delicious. Between all of us we sampled all sections of the menu. I requested a side of chili salsa and was treated to a table side preparation that was amazing. This hotel is in high demand so book your stay early!

Stayed for three days, service was excellent in every respect. We were on a full board package and were offered the best of everything, we felt this was good value for money even though we missed a meal. Trains were delayed on our day of departure and the concierge at the station lounge was able to get us an earlier departure to enable us to maintain our travel schedule back in Cusco. Can highly recommend a multi night stay at this Hotel.

This is the only hotel adjacent to Machu Picchu where you can see both sunrise and sunset over the ruins. Nearly 8000 feet above sea level. You must eat at the hotel and all liquor is included. The hotel supplies several amnesties including a rain garment. Very pleasant stay.

Can’t beat the location, service was first class - staff is friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. Food was excellent. Rooms were wonderful with every need anticipated down to the complimentary rain ponchos. Worth the price!

A truly wonderful stay. The staff were first class and the hotel was a sanctuary. The food, a cocktail meet an greet and cleansing ceremony when we departed, very unique. Highly recommend this hotel 5*

I was blown away by our stay at Sanctuary Lodge. The staff is incredibly professional and helpful, and every single one of them go out of their way to make you feel like an honored guest. The facilities were spotless and classy, and the spa team was one of the best I’ve encountered! I also was extremely impressed with their laundry service. Our hike earlier that day was very rainy, so I handed over a bunch of soaked clothes. They had them cleaned and returned to me early the next morning in time for us to enjoy another hike with fresh clothes!
