I booked rooms in this hotel literally just based on the spectacular view I saw on their *********** page. I read other people reviews on *********** and notice to get the view that I saw on ***********, I must book their most expensive room. So I did. Without reading what facilities they offered. I was there with my parents in their early 70's and my husband. Check in was smooth, the receptionists team was amazing I cannot fault them. I once watch them trying to get their points accross to western guests who was trying to book/ check-in. Yes, their english was not perfect, but I was so proud of them being so brave and tried their best to try to explain their point to the confused looking guests. I would've help, but I see no need for me to, they got it. As u can tell, I love the staff, they're amazing! Receptionists, housekeeper(poor young guy had to carry my mother's heavy suitcase down the stairs! Bless him!), peeps at breakfast who always greet my family with smile and kind words, and the amazing manager who was always presence during breakfast, making sure that her guests are happy and taken care of. And the view! Gosh, it really was spectacular, I wish the balcony was not made of half wall, but glass fence, so I could sit there all day doing my writing while looking at that gorgeous view uninterrupted. For breakfast, we always pick Asian cuisine(which was tasty by the way! Well done team!), the western cuisine was not so appealing I am afraid. I think it was only toast and jam, I don't think they have omelette(or any eggs cooked differently), but not really sure now. I suggest to add eggs(omelette, fried or boiled) if you haven't(so sorry if u actually already have this on the menu, I can't remember anymore now) and cereal. I think my only complaint, and this is probably quite important for many people looking for a comfortable stay, is the lack of air-conditioner in the room. Had I know and read it carefully before I book rooms in this hotel, I might not book it in the first place. I spoken to the manager about it and she mentioned about AC isn't healthy, although I can understand this, but fan isn't really a healthier option either. Yes, the air was cool around 20ish degree celcius in the evening, but only once it was 8pm or something. And yes, it kept going down to under 20 degrees at some point, but that is the air outside, we don't sleep outside. If you have a thermostat in each bedrooms, u will find out that inside was way much warmer than the outside and opening the windows or door while sleeping wasn't really an option due to the mosquitos. So I hope, when the budget allows, the owner can upgrade the rooms with AC. Some of the room, if not all, thank you for reading and your hospitality. Let us know when the AC are installed, we will then definitely be back.
