Our stay at Merlin Khao Lak was pretty great. We had a week there, and sincerely enjoyed the feeling of staying in a contained and nicely taken care of rain forest by the beach. The location was nearly perfect, but the beach itself wasn't very swimmable (beginning of rain season, to be fair). Fortunately, there were other beaches on the same coast that were nicer during the same time of year, so we did get time in the sea water. Even without sea swimming, the ambience from the waves and the sunsets made the beach plenty nice for us at Merlin. There is also a variety of nicepy kept pools to enjoy, though I typically don't enjoy pools personally. Service/food were both nice as well. The staff was pleasant enough, but it did feel weird that an ecologically minded resort had the least meat/dairy alternatives of any of the several resorts/hotels we stayed at. I found ordering curries with no seafood or meat simple though, and they were mostly still good. The massaman curry was a miss, but everything else I tried was quite good for resort food! We really loved the touch of the room's default tv channel being an info channel about the resort's wildlife and maintenance. That, plus the several info booklets allowed us to have a more guided and knowledgeable experience while sightseeing on the exceptional grounds. It was really fun running into others who were also just having a look around and waiting to see a different animal pop up. We enjoyed our stay. Next time we'd likely come back, while also spending some time up the coast a bit.

超棒的酒店，辦理入住時一條冰毛巾太爽了～ 酒店像一個熱帶雨林，不需要接駁車，有連廊走來走去很方便。 房間很大，空調很足，熱水也超大！！ 早餐非常棒！吃過很多酒店的早餐，這家能排上前三！ 酒店有泳池有草地有沙灘，沙灘旁邊可以走去eden，eden旁邊的nana餐廳推薦，很便宜好吃。 酒店本身自帶的餐廳也不貴，可以嘗試下～ 另外酒店門口左轉有好多餐廳massage換錢的還有711，非常方便！ 服務員都不錯，態度超好，微笑禮貌，還幫忙升級了房間，太幸運了！ 一定要説缺點的話，房間有些許黴味，還有泳池感覺清理不及時顯得有點臟，尤其是小泳池，希望能改進！

飯店超像生態園區，房間卻是非常乾淨，也沒嚴重的蚊蟲問題，只有幾個稍有出沒。有鄰接超棒的沙灘。可惜游泳池比較有限，泳池bar也比較沒那麼衛生。餐廳料理極佳且價格合理，房間也非常漂亮且乾淨，唯獨電燈中控不完整，僅能控制80%的燈具

定的最貴的私人泳池別墅 圖上是海景 去到是對着一整面牆！泳池很臟！沒有牙刷牙膏 沒有拖鞋 沒有護髮素 公區竟然沒毛巾供應。服務很差 打掃房間都是隨便打掃一下就算 東西不補充！住了三天 衹有第一天有水果！我放在床上的睡衣隨手亂丟！根本不疊衣服！在餐廳 我們還在看菜牌點菜就已經要收走菜牌！！真離譜 ！ 小童也不友好 沒有任何小童相關用品 ！ 搬行李的boy是整個酒店最友好的人！

那麼老舊的怎麼敢收那麼貴一晚。前台走去房間需要兜兜轉轉爬上四樓（沒有電梯）導向標誌不行。以至於每次從外面回來都要找很久房間。泳池都有些臟。

房間很大很寬敞，衞生間也超大，早餐好吃，體驗感很好～住了這裏和隔壁的eden，感覺這家性價比更高～一些

人少景好，性價比超高！酒店乾淨衞生，每個房間都有浴缸。這家酒店主打一個雨林叢林式沉浸式體驗，每天能看到發現大小蜥蜴，各種鳥類，樹懶，每週都有夜行動物參觀活動。睡眠超好因為綠化超好，負氧離子很高。早餐品類豐富，酒店服務員很nice。酒店位置也很好，周邊餐館，酒吧，按摩店，超市種類豐富，完全夠了！真心牆裂推薦，我不是託！

為了斯米蘭出海方便，定的這家酒店，酒店環境很好，周邊很安靜，可以走到海灘和一個小的繁華區域，這是意外的驚喜。總之非常非常合適安靜度假～

Ein Hotel mitten in der Natur. Bunte Vögel und Warane. Unglaublich gutes Frühstück mit viel Abwechslung. Strand sauber und Pools niemals überfüllt.

酒店環境太棒了，感覺住進了熱帶雨林，各種可愛小動物，房間配有動植物英文介紹，適合小朋友。另外酒店早餐很棒，水果豐富，炒粉好吃，很適合國人的胃口。

Stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon and wow what a place and experience! The hotel is stunning as you have plenty of space to relax in several choices of pool to relax at! You are surrounded by jungle and nature with the amazing beach and sea views out the front of the resort too. The staff were so respectful and helpful! The food was unreal, so fresh and tasty, highly recommend it all. Where we were in Thailand as well was breathtaking! We booked a few trips through the hotel which were so worth doing. Very well organised and worth every penny!

This is a beautiful resort. Their caption is “Where the rainforest meets the sea” and this sums it up very well. My husband and myself took our 17 year old daughter and she loved it. It has a very chilled out vibe. If you want loud music and entertainment this is not for you. There are many pools dotted around, including a spa pool with hydro jets. There are 2 restaurants for dinner. We much preferred the a la carte to the buffet. The food was delicious. They have traditional Thai dishes and European options. The fruit platters were fabulous. The drinks were ok by all inclusive standards, beers Singa and Chang, white and red wine, cocktails and frozen slushy drinks. Room was big and very clean (one of the newer ones) air con very good. The beach is stunning, especially at sunset. We walk (10-15 mins) to the elephant sanctuary, really enjoyed that. Went to Bang Niang night market which was ok. Had a massage on the beach at Nana’s (5 mins walk) twice, that was so good and less than a tenner for an hour. There is a 7/11 just down the road and restaurants and shops. I also used the laundry service at the local shops to minimise the amount of amount of washing when we got home. A very long way to travel (21 hours door to door) but a trip of a lifetime.

Having done some research prior to booking our hotel we were able to establish the hotel had good reviews including the reviews for the food in the hotel. This helped us make our decision and we were not disappointed. This hotel is set within a rainforest natural environment on Khao Lak Beach. The resort is so well maintained and the grounds are so well kept. Upon arriving at the hotel for check-in we were greeted with a cold drink and towel to refresh. We were swiftly shown to our room, which was 2101 near reception. A Deluxe Modern Room with a terrace. The room was ideally situated for access to the hydro pool and other facilities including main reception, lobby bar and Garden Restaurant. The room was spacious and had more than adequate facilities too. The room benefitted from two double wardrobes allowing for ample storage. During our stay we did upgrade to a Superior Room (swim up) which was a lovely room with a large bathroom with sunken bath, large shower as well as a walk-in wardrobe and dressing area and a nice bedroom area too with access to the terrace and pool. Whilst there was an initial issue with the room and the hot water in room 3127 the hotel moved us to 3133 and we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay comfortably. As a result of the issue we did receive a free spa treatment, which was a nice touch to the stay. The spa treatment was very relaxing and did provide a relaxing massage environment with ample facilities in the room including a toilet and shower and large jet jacuzzi bath as well as the two massage tables. Overall the stay was great as were the staff. A special mention to the staff in the Vernada restaurant who were all amazing and got to know our room number, drinks order preferred and seating area. The beach at the resort is also very clean and provides a lovely setting for enjoying a cocktail whilst watching the sunset or simply watching the day pass you by as the waves lap the shore. We had a great stay and really enjoyed the hotel and facilities. We would definitely recommend the resort for those looking for a relaxing stay in Khao Lak.
