Hyatt Place Johor Bahru Paradigm Mall

Location was good, service was good and friendly as well. Unfortunately nowadays nothing much to do at Paradigm Mall compared to a few years back.

Great service with express check out available where you don't even have to head to the front desk to return the room cards. Room was clean, bed was real comfy, and the drapes block out all light effectively. Alsor received a slice of chocolate cake and a small box of 5 individually wrapped cookies as the staycay was for a special occasion. However, I have 2 small complaints. (1) The direct access to the hotel from the mall (located near Skechers) was not available during my stay. I believe it was under renovation. This is not actually a huge deal if I had known how to get to the hotel, which is literally next to the mall: walk out entrance 2 of the mall (next to Uniqlo) and turn right. Instead, as a first-time patron, I had no clue and ended up walking up and down the entire mall searching for a way to the hotel from within the mall, to no avail, for more than a half hour. There was no signage anywhere... Online reviews and directions on Hyatt's website mentioned lift access on the 7th floor of the mall, but nopeeee, all boarded up or something. Honestly unnecessarily frustrating. 2) Temperature control for the shower can be a lot better. To get a nice warm temperature that isn't cold or scalding to the skin requires you to adjust the knob to a very specific angle. Slightly off and you'll get blasted with frigid or hot water, yikes! So yes, incredibly unforgiving.

Amenities are good - clean gym and pool. Room was spacious, modern and clean. No stickiness on floor and carpet. However, response from housekeeping via telephone to desk for razor did not fulfilled. Will still stay here again. Location next to mall with plenty of food and shopping choices!!

Overall a pleasant experience with the hotel. Stayed for 3D2N. Hotel is conveniently located right beside paradigm mall. Hotel room is spacious and spoit for food choices. Highly recommended. Will come again in future :)

Newly renovated and open in 2023, overall design of the hotel is modern and simple. Service personnel are nice and friendly. Breakfast option is a-bit little, and the number of lifts available (only 3) is not quite sufficient, resulting in long wait every time. It is located next to paradigm mall, but there isn’t signage to the hotel within the mall so be aware. The hotel has a small pool and gym at the reception level. Overall stay is still pleasant, just the location of the hotel is far from the CIQ.

Room was excellent clean and superb. Reception and all staff very friendly and helpful. Truly the best Hotel here in JB and our kids truly enjoyed it so much. Staff Ahmad check in us and gives us very warm welcome. Loving every bits about this hotel

It is a relatively new hotel, place is clean n decent but suspect the bedsheet , pillow , blanket were not change, as it irks of previous occupants small n was quite disgusting. We went to change but were given only something better not new. End up we need to buy a bedsheet set from the shopping mall. Overall the place is pleasent, customer service is good but they really neee to improve the hygiene standards.

Breakfast is very good with the fresh orange juice machine. Check in was great too. Hotel is in a very good location

Hotel was really clean & cozy! The amenities were slightly lesser than others, and there’s no room services so you’ll have to head down to the reception to request any items you needed for refill. The hotel is right next to Paradigm Mall, so it’s really convenient for shopping. However, in terms of breakfast in the early morning, there are limited local food options nearby.. Overall, the room was really clean and check-in was fast. Would recommend!
