What a fantastic hotel ,the staff on the reception Jose, and Lucia are so helpful , the hotel is decorated to a high standard colonial style and is very clean ,breakfast was lovely as was the restraunt . Definitely will come back . Thank for making our anniversary one to remember

The hacienda is beautiful, full of art decorations, located near Tazacorte harbour which is a cosy and colorful place. You can watch great sunsets from the hacienda’s restaurant. There is also a fabulous garden with a hidden pool. It is a very quiet place (the classic music which was on during the day and sometimes until 23h30 did disturb me a bit because the loudspeaker was right opposite side of my room. However the music was switched off in the evening when I complained about it! thanks for that!) The hacienda’s main asset is the staff. They are wonderful, always helpful, smiling and very professional. A big thank you to the restaurant chef as well, he did everything to keep my food gluten free and added some surprises…… Very nice stay and whenever I will return to La Palma, I hope to be your guest again

The hotel is a unique palace, in a unique island. We love going to La Palma and we always chose Hacienda de Abajo. Its located on a beautiful town with the most beutifull sunsets. The hotel is like a big exposition of art no matter where you look, including the rooms, with unique paintings and objects from different times and places. It also has a beautiful tropical garden leading you to the pool and the spa, which are so quiet since no children are allowed. Really a place to relax. The meals are delicious, with a great restaurant that combines traditional and local flavors. The service is magnificent, very kind and attentive at all times. So the place has it all for me to feel like at my own palace.

Wonderful service! The staff went above and beyond to help us organise a surprise for my Mother. We will definitely be making a trip soon to stay with you, but in the meantime we’re very grateful for making our parents stay with you a special one.

It was a pleasure to return to the hotel. The staff were welcoming and attentive as always. The wedding on the middle weekend provided an entertaining insight to Spanish hospitality. The way guests were put at ease by Barbara and her loyal team was exemplary.

Excellent services, impressive infrastructure and great atmosphere The employees were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Parking is always available near by. Best place to stay in La Palma and would love to visit again

Lovely hotel, excellent service and staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Definitely have dinner in the restaurant - is really worth it. Great for a quiet week away and the sunsets are wonderful on the veranda. You do need a car if you want to explore.

The bedrooms and ambience are absolutely superb. Lovely pool set in delightful tropical gardens. The staff were very efficient, friendly and professional. With special thanks to Danny, the breakfast supervisor, who works in difficult circumstances. BUT: The breakfast restsurant has serious supply issues and can't maintain a consistent standard. One day there was no English breakfast tea, honey, yogurt, walnut bread and just watered-down orange juice. The other issue is that there is no pool bar (as advertised), or facility to get tea/coffee or other refreshment during the day, between mid day and 4.30pm. No opportunity to share an aperetif or late night drink with friends as the bar closes at 6.30pm. This is all so short sighted as the hotel is really beautiful, the staff excellent and it could be a really top notch destination.

Comfy rooms, excellent staff and good food. Very clean and lovely hotel and will highly recommend. A beautiful dining room with excellent service and nothing was too much trouble. Couldn’t fault our stay. We loved the hotel and Tazacorte and will return
