Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages

WOW! Coconut Grove was one of the best stays in all of Fiji! Ronna and her staff hospitality went above and beyond. The accommodation and grounds are absolutely stunning and beautiful. The best food we had in all of Taveuni and probably Fiji. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend! Vinaka!

Bula! The people here greet you with song and a lei and a fresh smoothie! Friendliest people ever. Coconut grove is beautiful and very romantic for couples looking to get away for some me time. Very relaxing and beautiful here. Beds are very comfortable. The view is awesome. Outside shower is private and a fun experience. We had access to kayaks, snorkel equipment, anything needed they helped. Arranged a cab driver for the day to the waterfalls. Airport pick up and drop off included. Food is amazing! We didn’t plan to eat every meal here but it was so convenient and so good we did! The butter chicken, fresh fish, French toast with coconut syrup a must try! Highly recommend! Oh there is no air conditioning. We were surprised we were very comfortable at night with the fans on. The room is full of windows and nice cross breeze.

Coconut Grove is a wonderful place to stay with a wonderful staff that goes out of their way to help their guests. I am pleased to recommend this facility. The food is delicious. Enjoy the snorkeling, diving and the hiking!

Beautiful location and staff. The banana Bure is truely something else, simply because of the honeymooners outdoor shower. The view over the ocean is Devine! Hot and cold water too. Fabulous! Girls in the kitchen were amazing cooks. Must try the local fish and the rourou soup is better than anywhere else. Definitely EAT HERE! Small supermarket over the road and a larger one in walking distance for snacks and a bit of a mix with the locals, other restaurants also within reach. Fabulous location

We spent 8 nights at Coconut Grove on beautiful Taveuni in November 2023. The resort has a beautiful setting with a well-kept garden with flowers in all colors, a beach during low tide, and several small islands in view of the resort. The property has three bures and a restaurant and gift shop on about 1/2 acre of tropical grounds. The restaurant offers wonderful meals with good variety, including great curries. They also have plates of tropical fruits, which I enjoyed every day. The ladies preparing the food and taking care of everything else on the property are fun to be with and never tire of answering questions about the island and its people. They are kind and happy and full of energy. Serah is one of the nicest people I have ever met. The ladies also arrange tours and have several reliable drivers. We really liked our driver Sam, who was funny and informative about Fijian culture. Taveuni is incredible tropical, and the jungle hikes are not to be missed. We did the Lavena coastal walk, which is stunning. Too much rain prevented us from doing other hikes, as the roads and trails can become unpassable when there is too much water. The snorkeling at honeymoon island and the other small islands is great and we went several times, mostly by kayak. I also enjoyed the snorkeling right from shore with its seagrass ecology, green tube sponges, many types of sea cucumbers and urchins, and lots of small fish at every small area of live coral. The resort felt so peaceful and was a great pick for our stay on Taveuni.

Amazing stay at coconut groove. The staff were amazing. Highly recommend the boat tour with Bayron to Honeymoon Island. The reef around the island was unmatchable to others reefs in Fiji. Highly recommend.

Wonderful days in the small paradise "Coconut Grove". The very private atmosphere and the daily pampering and care of Esther, Sarah, Fina… contribute a lot to our soul dangle. The skillful massage on the beach - wonderful! Snorkeling at Honeymoon Island is highly recommended. More beautiful, cheaper and faster to reach than Rainbow Reef. We stayed at Coconut Grove for one week and it was very beautiful and relaxing. The food was fantastic and Ester, Serah, Flori, Fina , Bui were very kind and attentive. The restaurant is very warm and inviting with beautiful views. I loved chatting with the ladies every day. I loved swimming and kayaking right from my doorstep, seeing the amazing coral and all the different sea creatures. The view from Coconut Grove is like out of a dream, tranquil breezes, beautiful trees and flowers, the soft lapping of the sea. Ronna has a beautiful property and takes such loving care of the plants and all the buildings. We stayed in the Banana Bure, was very comfortable. We could lay in bed and watch the sunrise. Ronna is also very helpful and will answer all questions and concerns via email prior to your arrival. Taveuni is very quiet and a great place to relax , swim, snorkel and kayak. We didn’t explore a lot of the island because we were so happy staying at the little resort of Coconut Grove. The customer service is personalized and very unique in that everything was very easy. Every day the staff took plenty of time to ensure all our needs were met. This place is so special, each Bure steps from the water and we often felt as if we had the whole sea to ourselves. The resort is very private with views like a postcard. Don’t miss this place!! It’s one of a kind. Hugs to all at Coconut Grove.

I thought I had already written a review, but I can't find it so I will do it now! This is such a lovely spot to land for relaxation, wonderful fresh fish and really delicious dining, and just the most beautiful, warm, and kind ladies watching out for you and welcoming you like you are family ... from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. A true Fiji experience ... of the best kind.
