The hotel was beautiful and the service was great. However, there was absolutely nobody that spoke any English there, even though it is advertised as a Spanish and English speaking hotel (plus the signage is in Spanish and English).
As a single woman travelling across the world alone I specifically looked for an English speaking hotel, because my Spanish is not great. I couldn't converse with anyone because nobody understood a word of English. In addition to that, a member of staff was extremely aggressive towards me because I couldn't understand what he was saying. At that point I was strongly considering walking out and leaving early. I felt so uncomfortable there that I decided to cancel my next trip to Tarapoto.

The Hotel has a lovely big swimming pool and nice grounds and the rooms are a great size. However, the property could benefit from some maintenance and upgrades. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. I would stay again,

A nice quiet place not far from the plaza. Saddle back tamarin monkeys and lots of birds on the property. A nice place to chill by the pool in the gardens.

The hotel could be so much nicer but looks worn and uncared for. For instance, there are many ****s growing in the tiles around the swimming pool. Breakfast was rather simple. Rooms are clean though. Staff do not speak English and reception seems to close about 10pm, which was an issue when trying to get our room key when we returned from outside at 11pm.

The hotel is very nice because is surrounded with nature. But they need to improve, it looks kinda unattended and it needs to be clean better.
