Great pool. Close to alot of different scenes which is perfect for a laid back day or a night out

For the price of the hotel there really aren't any amenities. The pool club next door has the nicer pool but weekends they charge 35 per person admission. Both the hotel and the club pool no coolers or outside drinks n food. No hot tub as described online. If the price was under 150 a night and no resort fees it'd be worth it. This is NOT a resort!

Buen área para realizar viaje turístico. Es cerca de centro comercial y restaurantes muy buena hubicacion. 👌

El aseo del hotel es horrible, las instalaciones están muy descuidadas y el precio es extremadamente alto para la calidad del hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for a little weekend getaway, and the Godfrey Hotel did not disappoint. We arrived Friday around 1pm and was able to check in early. It was a pleasant surprise to find out we were upgraded to one of the suites. The room was very well kept, with the bed being comfortable. We actually had 2 great nights sleep. Our room overlooked Old Tampa Bay. The scenery was beautiful and I was able to capture the sunset. An added bonus, there is a restaurant/bar across that water from the hotel, and we got to enjoy the band they had playing Friday and Saturday night. We will definitely be staying here again. Shout out to Daniel for the Great communication before our stay!!

I stayed at the Godfrey because of the location and proximity to the Courtney Campbell trail. The property is a bit older, but it has character which I really liked. The beds are comfortable and the view from my room was over Old Tampa Bay which even this time of year did not disappoint. The staff I had was awesome. I did not eat at the property but heard good things. I love the cabanas when I have been in the past. The Rocky Point area is near Downtown Tampa/Convention Center, the airport, and a short trip will take you to the Pinellas County Beaches. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. The hotel provided free parking during my stay which was weekday. I highly recommend a mid week stay. I did have a few rowdy neighbors, but this hotel attracts a younger clientele, so noise is to be expected.

It is very disappointing to see this once beautiful property decline so terribly. Rusted areas in tub/shower, sliding doors that stick and old furnishings. The lobby area is unimpressive and uncomfortable with old seating. Even the fresh water dispenser with lemons and limes has been removed. The outdoor seating area with bay view is uncared for. The pool area is old and uninviting, no one goes to the restaurant indoor or out. The dining furniture is old and uncomfortable. The once gorgeous pier sits as an eyesore since destroyed by hurricane Idelia, A YEAR AGO. The last straw for me is that the property is cashless forcing the guests to pay with a credit card. The “service fee”, AS A PERCENTAGE, is then passed on to the guest. Are you kidding me ? There are much nicer places to stay with corporations that care about and respect their guests and the money they will spend.

"I will never return!!! The staff attempted to be polite (good poker face). My room was as dirty as #3//, with hair, bugs, and unidentified substances on the side of the box spring, among other things. My husband pulled out the nightstand and OMG... I had to clean the bathroom and wipe down the surfaces with Clorox wipes. Additionally, the WTR restaurant and bar automatically add a 20% gratuity, which seems excessive. If you enjoy going to a dirty, overpriced establishment, then this is the place for you. However, as for me and my husband, we will NEVER EVER return!!!!"

Our room was unclean, a dirty sock was on the floor in our bathroom, they messed up my reservation and gave me a two queen instead of a king. If you are in a room facing the parking lot it will be incredibly loud at night almost impossible to sleep. Trash was left on the floor, everything was dusty and smelly. You can hear absolutely everything from the corridors and other rooms. It smelled of **** and alcohol. So dirty and dingy I would never come back.

The staff was great! From check-in, throughout on stay & Check-out. The front desk & housekeeping crew were all helpful & extremely pleasant. They changed my experience completely. The accessibility to restaurants & events was perfect...and we saw a dolphin from our room!

Uncovered conduit box and a tub with no stopper that took hours to drain. They’re renovating, but it’s far from good. At least it’s on the water and the AC worked.
