Great location just outside of town with a good regular bus service a few minutes away. Rooms are clean and a good size with a walk in shower, kettle and tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits replenished daily. A nice little outside patio area for each room has two chairs for sitting outside if you want although there is a large garden area.The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the freshly cooked breakfast sets you up for the day. The food served in the bar is very good and there is a good selection of Arkells beers on as well as a good choice of cider. All in all i would definately stay here again.

It's a bit run down generally although the purpose built accommodation outside the pub was cosy and comfortable. The pictures of the rest of the hotel are not very representative and were probably taken a long time ago. It's not a buffet style breakfast, just a choice of full English or something else with tea or coffee. I declined to have the breakfast because the are was being redecorated and stunk of paint and was covered in protective sheets.and there was only a small place to eat it in a not very clean area. They should have catered better for people whilst they were refurbishing. I'm not a fussy person but I'm suprised at how high the other reviews are. Makes you wonder ...
The staff were friendly and helpful but I won't be goiing back.

The room was a bit tired, but very clean with plenty of extras shampoo etc.
The 1st night the service in the bar was dreadful. We waited over 90 minutes for food, it was not totally what we ordered, but we still had to pay full price.
The 2nd night wasn't much better, we were told that French fries were still off the menu. The 3rd night we ate elsewhere.
Breakfast wasn't brilliant, but acceptable

On the positive side I was able to get a good nights sleep (both nights), very comfy bed and lovely and quiet.
On the negatives I thought the service was lacklustre. When I went for breakfast the first morning the manager didn't offer to take my order which seemed strange so I waited longer than I needed to. For the second day I went for breakfast at 7.20 am (breakfast was advertised as being from 7.00am) but no one was around. I decided it was best to shower and go to work rather than hang around. I therefore have to mark the stay down. That said I would still recommend the Sun Inn especially if you value sleep and location above all else. It's in a great location for Swindon and near very nice walking spots including Coate Water.

Room was ok but chair didn't feel safe.The underfloor heating was turned off and didn't realise until early evening so room cold and then by bedtime extremely hot! Towel rail not orking at all.Staff pleasant enough but presentation could be improved. Evening meal - chipsand peas lukewarm served on cold plates, fish was ok.They had a function at the same time so appeared understaffed. Nice water park next door.

Very good one night stop apart from kettle missing from our room. Helpful staff provided large flask of hot water so we could enjoy the supply of coffee, etc

Won’t listen to reviews next time . Was expecting better. Cobwebs everywhere bed uncomfortable, torn cover on bed

This is my wife and I’s second visit to the Sun Inn and as before found the accommodation exceptionally clean and tidy, plus the food first class. My only minor gripe being the many shallow steps between the actual pub and the annex accommodation.
