TTài khoản kháchThe entire experience is really fantastic. For foreigners coming to China, I would recommend stopping by Datong and staying in this guesthouse. The owner is extremely friendly, providing pick up and drop off service for my family with elderly parents. There is no need to worry about the language barrier as she does her best to make the experience as comfortably as she can. She also sent us to a nearby famous hotpot restaurant. Rose tea and fruits are served every night and her 刀削面 for breakfast is the best I had of all the noodles I ate in China. It’s a very homely feel and I would want to go back again. The bed is very comfortable, with Dyson hair dryer and warm water works well. There is a bidet and elevator in the guesthouse. Wonderful experience and ps: this is not a paid review 😆

TT.F. LaiWe had such a lovely stay in Datong! The hospitality here truly exceeded our expectations. The host was incredibly friendly, caring, and always ready to help with anything we needed. They even offered to do our laundry while we were out sightseeing, and folded everything neatly after it dried — such thoughtful service.
They also helped us order food and gave great recommendations, which made our trip so much easier. The room itself was surprisingly high tech, with a fun sound control system that made the stay even more enjoyable.
Although the room is on Level 2 with no lift, the host kindly carried our luggage up during check in and brought it down again when we checked out. Their helpfulness really made a difference.
Breakfast was lovely — nutritious, tasty, and just the right kind of start before heading out to explore.
Overall, we felt very welcomed and well taken care of. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Datong.

You can request for free ice cream every time you walked past the lobby. And free fruits at lobby. Service is great! Just that there is a sewage smell in my room’s toilet, though my parents room that is one room away from mine have no problems at all. We arrived by high speed train from Beijing in the morning 1030am. The hotel allowed us to do early check in, awesome! This is a very value for money hotel, and totally exceeded my expectation even though this is by right only a local hotel chain. They have a gym too but I didn’t get to use it.

TTài khoản kháchWow, I loved this homestay! The lively and kind lady who runs Yishui homestay is a good English speaker and very patient, so foreigners as well as Chinese will feel at ease staying here. It is a very hospitable atmosphere!
Location is in the pedestrianized part of the old city, very near the Drum Tower. Therefore, there is lots to see/do/eat while walking nearby. But the location is also not far from the driving road, so it was an easy, short walk to meet my driver when going out to the hanging temple, the grottos, and the train station. The facility is an old-style courtyard home, with a beautiful wood-beam ceiling. The interior rooms are completely renovated and modernized, with great water pressure, all necessary toiletries, an excellent quality hair dryer, slippers, and super air-con/heating! (It was -3 one night during my stay, but I was warm and comfy in that room!) Clean towels are brought daily. Breakfast was included in my stay and I was very happy with the food. It is an ample Chinese-style breakfast, and you can inform the cook if there is some food you don't/can't eat. Although the breakfast was plenty of food for me, I saw a guest ask for more baozi, and he was kindly given 2 more. Fresh fruit was also offered for free several times during my stay.
Within a 5 minute radius (walking), there are many eating places for lunch, dinner, snacks, and tea/coffee. There are also numerous historical sites (dragon wall, temples, ”mansions”, the Catholic Church, etc.) in easy walking distance. In fact, there was so much to see nearby that I was not able to see everything! The homestay looks very charming, and many, many people were often seen stopping to take photos in front of the homestay, as well as on the back wall of the homestay, which is next to a Chinese Opera stage--it is especially lovely at night! It is a 10-15 minute walk to the ancient city wall, where you can climb up and enjoy the sights, or visit a (Chinese) bookstore within the city wall, under one of the arches.
My Beijing friends, who stayed at a nearby hotel, were equally impressed when they came to visit me in Yishui homestay, and they got the WeChat contact so that they can return to stay at Yishui homestay on a return trip--so easy to get there by fast train from Beijing!

TTài khoản khách我是很少寫評價的，這次是今年三刷山西，總體感覺真的很好，但是這次我是發自內心的評價，這家酒店不是很大距離景點很近。但是服務一點也不輸五星級，首先他家的前台以及客房服務員都很暖有求必應還很有耐心，其次她家老闆也是超級好的，真是人美心好，再有就是他們家美食比我在古城裡排大隊吃的正宗，也很合口味。推薦烤雞。衹是美食衹顧吃了忘記拍照。早餐吃的很舒服😌回來就給朋友推薦了。

YYang JianpingOur stay at Yunqi Xiangshe was a truly delightful experience. The hotel is newly built, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the owner welcomed us warmly, making us feel right at home.
The property offers private parking, which is very convenient, and it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the heart of the ancient city—an ideal location for exploring Datong. Each room is thoughtfully decorated, blending modern style with artistic touches that reflect the owner’s care and refined taste.
Each morning, we were treated to a beautifully prepared breakfast, along with complimentary coffee and tea throughout the day. It’s those small, thoughtful details that really elevate the experience.
In short, Yunqi Xiangshe is a perfect combination of comfort, style, and heartfelt hospitality. I would gladly recommend it to all my friends and look forward to returning again in the future
