This recently remodeled and updated resort style condo with majestic ocean views is located on the bay on the Coconut Coast of the island of Kauai and is part of the Lae Nani Community (“Beautiful Bay” in Hawaiian). Guests return year after year to sunbathe on the beach, enjoy ocean activities and to listen to the soothing sound of ocean waves. This side of the island of Kauai is known for its beautiful morning sunrises.The Lae Nani Community has many amenities including BBQ grills, tennis court, an ocean view swimming pool and luscious tropical landscaping. A nearby natural protected lava rock pool at the edge of the ocean is a great place to enjoy the ocean waters out of the ocean current. This property is very unique as it has a beach path that runs along the property and a sacred “heiau” (Hawaiian temple) between it and the ocean. Many guests enjoy ocean activities from this community such as ocean swimming, snorkeling, SUP, kite boarding and surfing. Hawaiian monk seals can be seen on many occasions, resting on the beach. This residence can comfortably sleep four people. The master bedroom with ocean views is equipped with a King size bed. The second bedroom has two Twin beds that can be converted to a King size bed. The lanai off the living room is a great place to sip your favorite beverage and take in the scent of the fresh ocean air and feel the warm tradewinds. This home has some of the best ocean views in the community as it is located on the top floor of the 3 story building. There is a community laundry room, however, the owners have installed a washer/dryer in the home for your convenience.Just one community away from the Coconut Market Place where you can find shopping, dining and cafes along with an activities center. In addition to walkable shopping at the Coconut Marketplace (a 5 minute walk), and a wonderful variety of restaurants (our favorite being the Lava Lava on the Beach), many of Kauai's top activities are also nearby, to include the Wailua Golf Course (known as the best play for pay in Hawaii), Lydgate Park (a wonderful tree-lined picnicking beach with jetty-enclosed safe swimming and snorkeling havens), Wailua River Kayaking, numerous hiking trails, the Smith Family Garden Luau (an island favorite), and the "Ke Ala Hele Makale" - the 7.5 mile bike path that runs along the coast. In the unit is a binder with a list of restaurants, tours, and boat trips that will help you plan your days, but, we do recommend making your most important and desired reservations for restaurants and activities prior to your arrival. The Kauai Bike/Walking Path passes along the front of the property, and is the launching point to access nearby swimming beaches (5-20 minute walk). Wailua Bay beach, a great walking beach where you can find little treasures in the sand, is only a 2 minute walk; start at the southern end of the complex, down the steps and along the path then down to the sand. To the north is Lae Nani/Papaloa Beach, a 5-minute walk. Lydgate Park is a short drive (or 15-20 minute walk) to the south, and is known for its sea ponds (full of baby fish), and the perfect spot for swimming and snorkeling. Please note, while the area in front of Wailua Bay View was never a great swimming beach, older images show sand in front of the property - but Mother Nature has had other plans, and so any sand is there only during low tide.THE SPECIFICSThis ocean side suite offers Complimentary Wi-Fi and Free Parking.
