Beautiful relaxing holiday again at The White Horse Inn! Fantastic room with lake views, wonderful to walk up in such a peaceful place every morning. Such a welcoming hotel with lovely food, friendly, helpful staff and excellent facilities. We hope to return again soon!

We returned to The White Horse Inn and stayed in a beautiful room with wonderful views of the lake. Super restaurant service and wonderful food every day! So many friendly staff - right from our first welcome with champagne, to all the waiting staff and to room service! Lovely to see so many original staff from previous visits - Mirjana, Zoran, Stephanie and Andrea! A beautiful location for a relaxing, pampering and sightseeing holiday. We have stayed at this hotel for more than 20 times and it never fails to impress us!

My wife and I stayed here for 5nights on half board in the beginning of September. This hotel is located in the best spot of St. Wolfgang and our large room(traditional) was on third facing the square. We saw two wonderful events in the square during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa and swimming pool facilities with good sun loungers. We swam in the outdoor pool and lake and enjoyed the spectacular view from the jacuzzi. What a great facility they have here? The breakfast was excellent with plentiful choice of food and fresh orange juice. We also enjoyed the evening dinner with great choice of cuisine and was cooked to perfection. The waiter service was very good indeed. My wife particularly like the leaving gift, the water bottle, which reminds her of our wonderful time in this hotel. Overall the hotel, staff and the facilities were excellent and we had a great time. We will stay here again when we visit this area next time.

Absolutely superb as usual in every way. We have stayed here a number of times and always love it. The setting is amazing, the staff are lovely and the food is delicious!! We always get a room overlooking the lake and it’s more than worth it. Plus we have half board and after a day walking or cycling we don’t feel guilty eating all that wonderful food!! The pro bike shop up the hill is excellent also for high quality e bike hire.

Fantastic hotel and great location. Had a room overlooking the lake spotless everyday. All the team were amazing and so friendly. Food top class couldn’t fault anything. If you like amazing scenery this place is a must and local transport good to get you to other beautiful villages. Thank you to all the team for making our stay so special 👏👏

Had a great few days! Can’t wait to go back. Lovely hotel, staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, location was perfect. Booked half board, food was excellent. Had room with dual aspect balcony and amazing lake/mountain views.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel. The location is perfect as are the facilities. The food was excellent from breakfast to dinner with plenty of choice and quality produce. All the waiting staff were so pleasant and helpful, as were other staff around the hotel. The daily hotel 'newspaper' was very informative and useful - weather forecast, a bit of history about the hotel/town of St Wolfgang, what was on that day and that evening's dinner menu! We did the hotel tour which was very interesting and you saw parts of the hotel you would not normally see. We were very lucky with the weather - 30+ degrees - the only downside to this was the hotel had no aircon which is fair enough, and the rooms were ridiculously hot. However when we asked reception if they had a fan we could use, we were initially told yes but after an hour or so of waiting and no fan materialising at our room, we went back down to reception to ask again only to be told that in fact we could not have one as if we got one everyone would want one (another guest we spoke to had indeed got a fan the day before which is why we asked) and they did not have enough to go round. I do think a hotel of this calibre could invest in enough fans for each room - hence the star I have dropped from the review and the fact reception did not ring us to tell us - we had to go back to ask. Not a huge inconvenience I know but like I say the only fly in the ointment for us. So in summary I would not hesitate to recommend the Romantk Hotel Im Weissen Rossl if you are staying in St Wolfgang.

Waited a long time to be able to stay here, and overall it was a lovely experience. Our room was a disappointment (68), as outlook was a brick wall, it was very warm and underneath the gym. Although the gym advertised opening times on 3 occasions me and my husband were disturbed by gym users out of these times, once at 05.30! You definitely need a map to orientate yourself. The breakfast buffet is excellent especially the opportunity to squeeze your own oranges. The hotel 'newspaper' each morning is good. The staff were very friendly and would always acknowledge you. We were on half board basis and our evening meals were very tasty. Sometimes the service was a little slow, but with a beautiful view to look at it was no hardship to wait a bit longer for the food. Wines were recommended on the menu, but availability of other drinks was not obvious. The outside bathing was so lovely and the terrace lovely to relax on,watching the lake cruisers and paddle boarders go by. It would have been useful to have been made aware about the local card that gave discounts on activities and attractions (we didn't find out until the day before we left). Hopefully we will stay again, maybe in a room with a view next time.

the location of this historic hotel is right on the lake in the best place at the center. our room had a balcony with superb view of the lake and the mountains. the staff is good and the spa and recreation area on the lake is very big for a hotel. it is a short walk to the schafberg train station. very recommended.
