Room (wooden) floor squeaked loudly when walked on
We stayed downstairs and we could hear people in the room above us walking, closing the door, dragging their chair (a lot when they returned from dinner late around midnight) We had bad nights because of this.
Room AC is not cold. Even though it’s set at the lowest (18.5c) it felt like 25c
Overall, it was an ok stay but we won’t stay here again.

TTài khoản kháchNous avons beaucoup apprécié le cadre, les buffets étaient très appréciés du point de vue de la nourriture, qualité et diversité. Manger avec la vue sur l’océan a été très appréciable. Le personnel très présent et bienveillant, ainsi que d’une grande gentillesse.
Merci infiniment à Emilie pour ses conseils et disponibilité.
Merci au chef pour le repas que nous avons dégusté, le plateau de fruits de mer, car ça été un moment inoubliable.
Concernant le SPA, dont nous avons fait un massage en duo, avec bain, merci à Sweta et Léanne pour leur professionnalisme et la qualité de leur travail. J’ai également fait une manucure avec pose vernis semi-permanent avec Léanne et son travail fût top 👍🏻
Merci à Dana, responsable du SPA, pour sa bienveillance.
Nous remercions tout le personnel ainsi que les managers du complexe Tamarina, car notre séjour s’est extrêmement bien passé, dans un cadre calme et de toute beauté.

On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome.
The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice.
We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food.
The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for.
Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience:
- Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness
- Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful
- Rooms didn’t feel clean
- Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast
- Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it)
We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

Boutique, 16+ Hotel located on the east side of the island, on the first line. Great beach with amazing sunrises. Lots of sea activities are included with your stay.
Quiet, spacious rooms. Great spa.
Curated menu in the restaurant and opportunity to book a special dinner with a chef. Great wine and international cocktail selection.
Professionaly trained staff and the management team lead by Mr. Med will make you stay exceptional

NNick FilinХороший отель с красивой и ухоженной территорией. Просторный пляж, где плавают черепахи. Завтрак довольно однообразный, но есть всё.
Удобный вход в воду, пляж чистят. Можно брать каяк на прокат бесплатно.
Минусы: обед и ужин дорогой, если не всё включено. Отель достаточно старый.
В целом нам понравилось: живописный пляж, доброжелательный персонал, повезло увидеть черепах в океане.

TTài khoản kháchKhách sạn tuyệt vời. Vị trí hoàn hảo! Bãi biển phía trước khách sạn (và toàn bộ bãi biển Le morne) rất đẹp. Nước rất trong và có nhiều màu xanh khác nhau. Chúng tôi đã ở khắp hòn đảo trong chuyến đi của mình nhưng chúng tôi thấy Lux Le morne có bãi biển tuyệt vời nhất với tầm nhìn ra núi Le morne và khi bạn ra biển và nhìn lại khách sạn, nó thật tuyệt vời! Căn phòng cũng ấm cúng với chiếc giường rất thoải mái. Điều tồi tệ duy nhất trong căn phòng là nước nóng khi tắm đôi khi ngừng hoạt động (đã hoàn thành) và chúng tôi phải đợi! Có rất nhiều giường tắm nắng nhưng nếu bạn không đặt trước thì thường sẽ hết chỗ vào buổi chiều. Bữa sáng rất ngon. Rất nhiều hoạt động dưới nước. Phòng tập thể dục hơi nhỏ và phòng tắm hơi mất nhiều thời gian để làm nóng nên chúng tôi đã bỏ cuộc. Dịch vụ rất tốt. Các hồ bơi rất đẹp với tầm nhìn ra núi Le morne. Nhìn chung, chúng tôi yêu thích khách sạn này và tận hưởng kỳ nghỉ của chúng tôi một chút. Đây là khách sạn yêu thích nhất của chúng tôi ở Mauritius và nếu chúng tôi quay trở lại, chúng tôi sẽ ở lại đây một lần nữa.

TTài khoản kháchA big shout out to Aziza at front desk. She is so welcoming and helpful through out my 3 nights stay. It was my friend’s birthday, Aziza upgraded our breakfast to Jade, arranged a birthday cake for dinner. I caught a cold during my stay and went to the hotel clinic to take medicine. When I go back to my room at night I received a get well soon card and a fruits platter from Aziza. Will definitely recommend to all my friends who want to travel to Mauritius.
