Palazzo Violetta Boutique Hotel

In relation to the cleanliness of the room, one day the bathroom was not properly cleaned when we arrived at bedtime, there were some hairs and traces of makeup in the sink. Te day after we did not have any towels in the bathroom to have a shower. The most serious thing was on Sunday because we couldn't find the budget to enter the room and we called reception to let them know at 4:04 p.m. and no one answered the phone. When we arrived from the excursion at 11:00 p.m. there was nobody at the reception. We called by phone at 11:26 p.m. and several times later and nobody picked up the phone because we were at the reception and the landline was ringing and the mobile phone to which calls are redirected was ringing. Nobody showed up. At 00:00 we were able to enter the room because we finally found the card, and we made few calls from the room phone to the reception, someone picked up a couple of times but hung up the phone quickly. All calls can be demonstrated by my mobile history. We paid for a hotel whith 24-hour reception guaranteed and if we had not finally found the card, we would not have been able to access the room all night or perhaps many hours later. By the way, that night while we were waiting at the reception without anyone, the computer was open with all the customer data exposed. Anyone could have deleted them or made illegitimate use of them.

Proper little gem of a hotel, with easy access to Sliema and St Julians. Very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone (preferably couples) coming to Malta as it is both 10 minutes from both Sliema and St Julians

Staff were very friendly and offered helpful advice to questions we had about how to get places. Room was great with huge comfy bed and nice bathroom and all very clean. Whole place was very nicely decorated. Pool area was nice too. Nice location on a beautiful quiet traditional Maltese street only a short walk from bars/restaurants. Off street parking spaces available at 9 euro/day which was useful for our rental car too. Would highly recommend!

For a second time we had the pleasure to stay here during our holidays in Malta. You open the door to Palazzo Violetta, and you feel at home. Friendly people on the reception, at breakfast and in the service, great and cozy rooms, delicious breakfast and the opportunity to visit the bar and pool make your holiday unforgettable. From Sliema you can go by car or ferry everywhere, and there are many good bars and restaurants you can walk to in a few minutes. We loved it.

Palazzo Violetta was perfect for our city break in Sliema, an oasis of calm and tranquility. It is very well located to explore Sliema and St Julians, with Valletta only a short hop away on the ten minute ferry. A real gem, very comfortable and clean with friendly, helpful staff.

On arrival I was greeted by Diego and Sunil, really lovely guys. Sunil escorted me to my room and made sure I was ok working the TV remote, aircon and asked if I would like to use the safe which was free of charge no deposit required. They have maps of the island and excursions visitor may like to go on. The hotel doesn't provide lunch or evening meals but are more than happy to warm food up for you in the microwave. The location is great very quiet and only 10-15 minutes walk from the promenade, buses and ferry. A big shout out to Milos who works the night shifts, he would sit with me having conversations about the island festivals and explain when the best times to come back to do the things I wasn't able to do due to weather being either very windy or rainy. Domestic staff are also amazing. Room spotless, I never found one hair or dust anywhere and even though i made my bed they would remake it and leave fresh towels designed on the bed. Anything I ate or drank was repleshed. I already miss the staff and hope to visit them in the future.

Honestly couldn’t recommend this place anymore! Beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of Sliema with easy access to the seafront and bars and restaurants. The stuff was just the best! Super nice, useful and ready to help in every way! The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need and there is also a pool where you can relax. Deffo would stay here again!!! Even after check out they were so helpful in leaving the luggages and helping in any way. Thanks again to all the stuff (especially Cristina which is a little treasure!).

Stayed for 1 week pre cruise and one night post cruise on a room only basis. Hotel chosen by cruise agent. Hotel nicely restored in a quiet area. Warm welcome on arrival . Issues with television tech sorted quickly. Staff helpful with arranging taxis , when our pre booked transport did not arrive to take us to the port. However, we weren't informed that we would be charged a 10 euro deposit for the plug adapters which we didn't use, and were left in the room on checking out and for the safe key which was returned. Check your bill ! However, anyone with limited mobility would find the location challenging. Pavements and paths very narrow and in some places in very poor condition .
